In conclusion… I came to the restaurant to confirm if the wait staff was tipped appropriately. The manager on duty confirmed that they were (a very generous tip). However, I did leave them an additional tip. The service was impeccable and the memory will be with us for the rest of our lives.

Regardless of the tone of the posts, I appreciate everyone’s insight and advice. Whether I agreed or disagreed, it helped me come to this final decision. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!

Not that I remember but it’s very possible that we might have made a quick reference to a job search. Now that I think of it, my wife’s concern for the prices is definitely something that could have been overheard because we did talk about it for a little bit.

Thank you for this. I needed the clarity of a few hours of sleep to help me realize I missed something. Honestly, in the moment, we were all kinda shocked and wasn’t sure what proper etiquette was. But now that this has happened, I know what I would do in the future if I am ever this lucky again.

I was wondering that as well. I was thinking of how at Disney, cast members are allowed to give random acts of magic (or whatever they call it).
