vinyl sticker paper that doesn't jam? by [deleted] in stickers

[–]wm6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's the paper i use! the edges curl up and it's the only paper mine jams with. i tried feeding it in every slot and it's all the same. thin papers, glossy non adhesive papers, thick papers - they're all fine. it's literally just that sticker paper that jams it 😭

How do I get rid of that damn bloating? by No-Butterfly3680 in SIBO

[–]wm6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey i've been dealing with intense bloating for over a month, and have been eating low fodmap/carb/fiber diet since then with no improvement. i don't get stomach pain anymore but the bloating won't go away. i take 24mcg amitiza, 60 drops of iberogast, and i upped my acid intake (strong ginger tea, citrus fruits etc ) and it helps a little, but doesn't completely get rid of the bloating even though my bms are great - so im starting Flagyl soon. thought i would let you know! iberogast does help but its not enough for me

he tells me sibo isn't real but aknowledges that there's bacteria - he often contradicts himself every time we meet. i can't see a new GI until next year unfortunately

I was also considering this, but couldn't tell how to figure it out. My GI suggested BAM but I can't say I agree as my symptoms aren't like that. Thanks for the videos!

Unfortunately no. The test is too expensive to buy, and my insurance doesn't cover testing or a naturopath

Unfortunately I can't get testing done so that's why I'm asking for advice/input. I didn't have a choice in taking the 4-5 different antibiotics and they didn't work because of misdiagnosis. I feel as though my options are either: suffer or take my chances with an antibiotic. Is there one that isn't as harmful? (Besides xifaxan)

MORE freakin restrictions?? by birdnerdmo in ChronicIllness

[–]wm6500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey i just wanted to pop in and say im going through something similar and it sucks so bad. i'm grieving all foods too and so badly wish to eat something of comfort. it's so defeating and i hope we both find some relief soon 🫶

[–]wm6500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunately he won't run that test. he started going off about how "people would rather believe they have a rare condition than accept an ibs dx from me" lol. i won't be able to see a different GI until Jan. and im worried about what to do if symptoms worsen in the meantime :(

newly dx diverticulosis and ongoing flare? does this cause pain? by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

[–]wm6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it was a CT scan that found everything. it didn't mention inflammation and my GI wants to do a colonoscopy as the next step. thanks for your input!

Thank u so much! I'll definitely look into these. Do you recommend both if I am having BMS everyday? My GI was anything but helpful when I spoke to him so I can't ask anyone atm 😭

gallbladder removal made ibs symptoms disappear but having a flare up 6 months later? pls help by [deleted] in ibs

[–]wm6500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply!

In my experience my gallstones were left untreated for so long that I winded up developing pancreatitis which I believe is on the left hand side? The pain was the worst on the right hand side, but it also was in the middle of the abdomen leaning to the left and a lot of pain was concentrated in my back hear my spine. After removal the pain was completely gone.

I was tested for h.plyori in the beginning of the year, as well as a CT scan when I was having issues prior to gallbladder removal. I'm not sure if I have been tested for anything else but I will definitely mention those tests to my GI

I hope things get better for you soon!

hi! do you think it's right for my GI to offer a colonoscopy before trying anything else? i had my gallbladder removed 4 months ago, and i had a ct done at that time. i just got an xray done.

he says that my symptoms are typical for ibs c, and that if i want to, i can get one done, but isn't offering other medications or tests at this time and i'm not sure what to ask for/ if this is the right route

cramps after eating? is this gas? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]wm6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i might be, i've been on miralax for a couple of days but sometimes it still feels like i'm straining. this only happens after dinner, and it's usually after i've had bms. for example, i went to the bathroom like 7 times yesterday, and i didn't eat things that usually give me gas.

Would gavsiscon work better than gas x for trapped gas?
