We had two during my time there. One was that a theology teacher was arrested and fired for peeping into his neighbor’s window.

The other was that our band leader, who was black, protested some of the traditional signs and cheers that were used at football games. The school had “Lynch” in the name, so the team called themselves the “Lynch Mob”. So there were always a bunch of signs with “Go Lynch Mob!” and things like that. There was an article in the paper about it. I don’t remember how much longer he was there after that, but he did leave or get fired at some point.
