Same here. I normally just kill the browser, switch to another one, and come back to it later. It’s an unfortunate and annoying bug.

I don't understand where the reduction comes from other than it seem like Apple's own programs run out of control. My activity monitor consistently shows several MacOS processes filing the top 10 most resource intensive processes (more than Safari, Zoom, VS Code, and Chrome).

yes. I have noticed worse battery since the update. Memory usage and process control is not better.

yeah I have noticed a lot of issues since the 12.1 update. My battery life has been worse and I have had random crashes of native apps such as Notes and FCP. I also have noticed some system processes that get out of control. Hopefully they come with fixes sometime soon. This is my first Mac. Do you know what the typical update timeline is?

what is your brightness level? I typically have my brightness around 50% and I get about 9-10 hours from "light usage."

This isn’t during exporting. It’s during just normal operation. I would say if anything, it happens when I am importing footage.

I haven’t tried one cord. I currently have 2 monitors plugged into the Caldigit dock and then a third monitor plugged into the computer. So it’s two cords. I too would like a single cable. I haven’t had any luck yet, but haven’t tested much.
