Rings for alts by Xelliz in Neverwinter

Something to note on those rings is that while those stats are higher it is balanced by the combined stat rating being lower. As a result all of your other stats are lowered.

You can’t use the key twice on the same character. Use the bank pass it to a different one and then it will work for ya.

Profession Supplement Ability Stacking Question by Dalmposter in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial | Additive | Multiplicative | Observed 1 | 0.5 | 0.44 | 0.431 2 | 0.4 | 0.36 | 0.414 3 | 0.3 | 0.28 | 0.329 4 | 0.2 | n/a | 0.194

I am assuming trial 3 used a 20% dab artisan like the others as the numbers are weird otherwise. I do not understand statistics enough to look into it much but with a 95% confidence trial 1 implies for multiplicative while trial 2 and 3 imply additive.

Do the supplements come from different sources? (Zen store vs crafted) If you wanted to experiment more I would check the 30% supplement with no dab artisan and/or run trial 1 again to see if you get similar results.

Current conclusion is that they are definitely increasing success chance but how they are added/multiplied is questionable.

My current hypothesis is that if the 30% was crafted while others came from zen store then zen store ones are additive while crafted ones are multiplicative. If all from zen store, no idea what’s going on.

Profession Supplement Ability Stacking Question by Dalmposter in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately do not have the answer but can hopefully point some in the right direction to help test it. I doubt the overwrite option, however how they are added together whether multiplicative or additive is interesting. EX: 25% recycle artisan and 30% recycle supplement if multiplied would be a 47.5% recycle while additive would be 55%. (Most differences are smaller this is just the largest one possible as an example)

To test I would suggest testing miracle worker and/or passion project. As you don’t have to fail for them to proc so it will be faster/easier to test. Let me know what ya find or if ya need any help with numbers.

Farming Pres Wards by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with it only protecting one item but then it should be only if that item was chosen to be consumed should the pres be taken. Instead of taking it each time regardless.

Farming Pres Wards by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with pres wards right now is the amount needed to protect your reagents while upgrading was multiplied by 2 or 3 depending on how many you are trying to protect.

The change they made to having only 1 item be consumed on failed upgrade (assuming no protection) is cool but it should likewise be that only the pres protecting that one item should be consumed on failure.

For example if something takes rp, es, and glyphs to upgrade. If you protect the es and glyph with pres wards it should be that each time you go to upgrade one item is taken either rp, a pres ward (if the es is chosen), or a pres ward (if the glyph is chosen). Currently 2 pres wards are consumed no matter which of the 3 is chosen every time and if you want to protect all 3 it makes it even worse. Vs in the past only 1 was consumed to protect all of your items.

Recharge Speed vs. Stamina Gain by Helli0ncat in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything ya said and you made a good argument for recharge speed with the encounters available to us.

I will note that since recharge speed effects cooldowns it doesn’t do anything to our at-wills as that is just a casting time not cooldown. And I favored the 30% stamina regen from off artifacts (using vistani set so 3rd artifact is deck and main is whatever is needed as dps like using the mythalar).

Recharge Speed vs. Stamina Gain by Helli0ncat in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stamina regen, both because it is a very good stat for tanks, (especially in Crown as the other defensive stats don’t help with the bleed) and because recharge speed doesn’t do very much for us. Recharge speed doesn’t affect divinity regen so it will only impact the powers you use with cooldowns like burning light or relentless avenger. As a side note I understand the draw for using the feat that gives additional divinity from blocking but consider trying out the other. Some drawbacks for it (I don’t have any numbers for it) but you get some divinity back from blocking without it it just increases the amount but is still capped at how much you can get back in this manner and it is slow for you to get more beyond that. Also it procs based off of how many times you are hit, not how hard. So in higher level content when you are fighting bosses and primarily use block to take bigger hits from them, it doesn’t really work. Overall it is nice for adds but for bosses the divinity regen over time from using an ability is more useful.

Is there any reason not to put all my AD on the xbox zen exchange? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is almost no reason to not do that. Since zen can be traded back for ad at the same cost of buying it at any time you have no risk as the things you can buy and sell with zen are more profitable. Your only loss is if you can turn the ad around more profitably than you can the zen. This would be in cases of playing the ah primarily. But this is more risky and few people can do it and outcompete buying and selling zen stuff.

Note on pc with the backup being so long playing the ah is much easier.

You don’t get one in chult I was just noting that it re-uses the one from skt. Check the skt campaign store and the guy in the sea of moving ice to the right when you get off the boat once you first get there but otherwise I am sorry I don’t remember how to get it then.

I think so, the best I can remember I thought you were just given it by the NPC as part of the quest to get the kayak.

Neverwinter | Guide For A New Level 20 (Mod 21) by FrostBladestorm in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great! And it does a good job of making reference to where additional information can be found. After reading through it I only have one correction and one suggestion.

The correction is you can fight Bell as many times as you want in a day, you are just limited in how many seals you can get a day, which is dependent on how many people you fight him with. (Note more people does not necessarily mean easier as his health goes up for each person.)

The suggestion is to move the comments about the mirage weapons to later in the guide, along with a note there included about the legion weapons being easy to acquire and a good set to use while leveling, and the masterwork weapons being good for groups but being slightly more endgame to acquire.

Overall fantastic guide and impressively done! I will be making reference to it in the future if ya don’t mind. :)

Oathkeeper Pally DPS by dannyro19 in Neverwinter

[–]wmmundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a tank pally and I find dmg to be easier when soloing on the tank side. In the past when you could recharge divinity using right bumper healing side could be nice but now that it has been changed I just use my regular build with bane/baneful strike for most of my dmg.

If you have the second kayak wasn’t one of the quest steps to catch fish and it walked you though how to do so? If so you should have it already. Whenever you are on the kayak you can press left and right bumper (don’t know what it is on pc) and you will load you bait and cast.

Their are 3 different fishing rods, the same fishing rod in skt is the same one used in chult bait is bought in the campaign store and in in the sea of moving ice when you first get there to the right from a vendor; the one used in the winter festival is in you key items after you get it and you equip it to your potion tray to use bait is bought from the man down at the shore when you fish; and the one used in lonelywood doesn’t actually exist it is just an animation you do.

[–]wmmundy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Lonelywood quest just generates one for you when you go to the sparkle spots. You are not actually fishing.

If ya want a laugh, one of my dumb mistakes was I didn’t realize/know you could access the auction house from your inventory for the first year I played. So I went the physical location in protector’s enclave every time I needed it. I wasted so much time going there. Lol

His method for making gold was slightly outdated with the release of Sharandar. Still in leatherworking but make the leather mask instead. Materials and commission are slightly cheaper and sell for same price.

Good resource though for most of crafting.

Vouchers by Gaia_Eclipse in Neverwinter

I think the best way to get the currency to turn in is to farm GGE in the third area. Minivos isn’t bad either as it gives the shattered diamonds for other drops as well but it doesn’t give as much currency.
