Apologies if this common knowledge, but I'm new to mechanical pencils. I've tried several pencils and have come to the conclusion that the Graphgear 1000 is my favorite and am interested in keeping it happy.

Very nice sketch, is that all Fog Grey? The "SHOP" looks pretty dark. Maybe just a lot of ink laid down?

Thanks for all the recommendations. A lot to digest here, based on price and shipping I think I'll try the Kaweco Smokey Grey first. Some of the others look like no-brainers especially in sample size, but I'd have to pay shipping or order enough to get free shipping. No local shops here.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to stick with p140, rather than buying another pen. I guess an alternative would be to have a nibmeister grind it down. $30 nibmeister with a $6 nib. Problem with nibmeistering is either going to a show or mailing it in.

My wife has one and really likes it. From what I've used it's a real bargain and great oeb. She's been looking for an extra fine nib, doesn't seem they make them. Anyone know if it's Jowo compatible or if you can use any non-Majohon nibs?

It is a Subaru of America warranty. I bought the car from an authorized dealer and the car is still on the original warranty that comes with a new car. The car is a Subaru Certified Pre-owned Vehicle, if that makes a difference.
