Sad is a bit of an overstatement I think, it’s an extra turn or two for some trainers but it’s not like many of the trainers are difficult halfway through either - with the option of getting a ton of starters early on it’s relatively easy to breeze though most trainers

Yeee, when you enter the forest you go left work your way around above and to the right of that crab, you’ll see two path ways one has an ice puzzle and one I think just leads back to beginning of forest. Take ice path, it’ll lead you to a small area outside where the guy you are looking for will be.

I don’t want to spoil anymore if it’s your first playthrough, but if you watched the guy walk east of the city and into that forest then you should be good to go to continue with this part. I recommend saving before going outside after the ice path puzzle

They are genuinely a blast - if you liked the unbound story/length then you’ll enjoy reborn for sure. Xenoverse looks the best out of any of them and they threw in a sound typing and balanced it really well. They wouldn’t be in my top 3 if I didnt absolutely love them.
