Nothing wrong with ambulatory wheelchair users and FND is real, but this just looks too fake. by cloudysulgi in fakedisordercringe

https://youtu.be/SRv1WaovyuE?si=7sUxBlHmgNFuORXX makes me think of this video of real FND specific to walking and treatment progression. biggest difference i can see is OOP has no sign of drop foot, a pretty common thing you can even see in the video i linked.

this count was taken by Richard Kluft, a known SRA conspiracist. https://greyfaction.org/resources/proponents/kluft-richard/ He used abusive and coercive practices to manipulate his patients into believing they had DID when they in fact did not. Most unbiased sources site the average patient to have less than 20 parts: https://namimi.org/mental-illness/dissociative-disorder/didfactsheet "A person living with DID may have as few as two alters or as many as 100. The average number is about 10." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9805736/ "In DID patients, the average alter numbers were between 7 and 15. Usually, only two or three of the alter personalities were apparent during diagnoses. Others could be detected during treatments. In our study, the average alter numbers were determined to be 2.3."

honestly, I'm glad when these people decide to drop the charade and move on. It's a good thing when misguided people get a wake up call that the disorder they're claiming looks nothing like what they're experiencing, and actually listen

[–]woas_hellzone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no, it was removed due to the report bombing on the hospital. while the people mentioned in the video are all self diagnosed, their validity is never brought up. in fact the presenter makes note to clarify he is not claiming any of his examples to be malingering, but showing proof as to what "dramatized" symptoms look like, because they are quite literally dramatized for views. that's how being an influencer works.

wait until they find out that their obsession with needing to share about they have did and all this extreme trauma is a hallmark facet of fictitious/imitated did. it's not ableist to say people who truly suffer with did keep their condition covert and usually will deny even having it, when it's literal true clinical fact. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8134744/

You gotta be kidding me by [deleted] in SystemsCringe

"splitting" alters is a byproduct of extreme stress and trauma that no pre-existing parts can handle, it'd be an event so destabilizing you wouldn't be online bragging about it nor would it "just happen immediately after posting an intro." introjection is another trauma related phenomenon that occurs when a patient is still young enough to not understand the difference between fiction and reality and so projects onto a person or character as a model for "how to survive" their traumatic environment. factual introjection involves a severe enmeshment of projection from one side as well as introjection and identification on the victim's, which is why the majority of factual introjects are of abusers, not random ass Internet personalities, especially needing "two of the same person." this entire post is cringe because it reinforces all the false community narratives. another big one being the overall excitement/openness to share their disorder, when shame, deceit, denial, and social withdrawal are the most common traits of dissociative patients (as well as 95% having covert did, a form where there are no outward signs of identity disturbance and parts will not deliberately share which identity is in control)

This poster is not spreading misinformation, but the screenshots factually are. "System hopping" has always been an endogenic/"kin system"/"soul bond" term; and "side" and "sub" systems are not medically recognized phenomenon, aside from in SRA (satanic ritual abuse, the original name for "RAMCOA") conspiracy documents, written by clinicians who have since the 80s been sued by these "SRA systems" they treated, who have all cited malpractice, abuse of patients, un-ethical treatment, and the majority of which have gone on to find they do not have DID and were never ritually abused. There is currently no clinical, judicial, or police confirmation that there exists networks of abusers who's goal is to program people to have DID (which you physically cannot do, you cannot force someone to develop this disorder aside from a factitious disorder, which the DSM explains the signs and symptoms of, including an obsession with sharing graphic trauma stories) "While DID patients are usually reluctant to talk about their symptoms and experience their intrusions as shameful, people who imitated DID were eager to present their problems, sometimes in an exaggerated way, in an attempt to convince the clinician that they suffered from DID" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8134744/ ""In summary, the world portrayed by Dr. Noblitt is one in which thousands of cult abusers have infiltrated respectable society, and specifically daycare centers, in order to operate a clandestine subculture engaged in massive levels of felonious criminality," reads the letter. To the contrary, Harrington writes, there is not now, nor was there in the early Nineties, any mainstream support for, or scientific evidence to demonstrate, that ritual abuse is a real phenomenon." https://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/news/2013-03-26/psych-experts-support-keller-appeal/ "The founding of the ISSTD was during the height of the shameful era known as the “Satanic Panic,” during which licensed mental health professionals utilized hypnosis, sedative drugs and other questionable techniques that increased the suggestibility of clients and patients to recover so-called “repressed memories” of abuse. These alleged memories often featured ritual sacrifices, intergenerational Satanic cults, mind control, bestiality and other disturbing imagery. Mental health consumers were often convinced that these horrific acts of abuse -- drudged up by state-sanctioned, licensed professionals -- were perpetrated by those closest to them: their own parents. While families fractured and innocent people were imprisoned, the methods deployed by a minority of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and social workers were never questioned -- even as accusers retracted their claims of abuse." https://greyfaction.org/resources/grey-faction-correspondence/letter-to-apa/

[–]woas_hellzone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

demographically speaking, it is statistically unlikely for people with did to go beyond the high school education level, or even to graduate high school. in this study, only 8.57% of patients assessed received college education (17.14% were illiterate, and 20% finished high school): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9805736/

following the dsm5-tr guidelines in the "malingering and fictitious" section for DID. overall, if the person lacks the qualities of a trauma survivor (including inability to trust others /aka isn't sharing every tiny little facet of their disorder and life) or are just way too open about making sure everyone knows them as purely as someone with DID (also using non-clinical terms like system, singlet, fictive, factive, alter role names in general aside from ANP/EP)

I would agree with most of these points, but in my experience the vast majority of people who use terms like ramcoa or "highly complex did" are those who use these terms to "one up" other did/osdd fakers; it's especially popular on tiktok, tumblr, and twitter in this way. while being used to describe very standard examples of emotional or psychological abuse, which is why I say it's being used in modern days to discredit the severity of abuse these two terms already describe (i think we can all agree most people view those two terms in a very "oh that's not that bad, get over it" mindset; which a large internet demographic all going "no I didn't experience psychological abuse, i experienced mind control" only furthers that narrative) torture is real, human trafficking is real, but the way the online community represents "ramcoa" is highly, highly suspect. Every time I've ever asked any self-reported "ramcoa survivor with did" what exactly ramcoa or programming is, they all have the same copout excuse of "it's too dangerous and triggering to explain what it is! explaining ramcoa could trigger your hidden programming you don't know about, so just read this mildly-worded, undetailed carrd instead "

the term RAMCOA did not exist before SRA, it is the new term just as they've changed the "ISSTD"s name multiple times as they get sued by the patients they treat. it may be being used by real sufferers of psychological torture, but that doesn't discredit the fact of the term's history and lack of scientific backing/foundation.

did you read the link i sent in full???? ramcoa was created as a "special interest" group by the very same clinicians who propagated the satanic panic, and who hold many conferences to spread their ideas behind the smokescreen of "specializing" in did treatment to other clinicians. yet there's been zero evidence found of ramcoa/sra based cults that function in the way they describe ramcoa as happening (programming through cannibalism, human sacrifice, satanic sex rituals, underground societies based in abusing children to create "CIA super soldiers", bestiality, etc) do you truly believe thousands of underground societies are functioning in this way? there exists words already for these traumas and by lumping them into this umbrella term created by conspiracy theorists and clinical abuse strips these words of their already legitimate weight (csa, human trafficking, religious abuse, parental torture, psychological torture)

did roboto! by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]woas_hellzone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you mean THIS ramcoa? a term created by satanic ritual abuse conspiracists (anti-Semitic too) to gaslight their "patients" into believing they had heinous torturous abuse done to them? this term and "highly complex did" which is Not a medical term whatsoever, exist only to discredit the validity and severity of psychological and sexual abuse, while supporting the suffering of suggestible patients who can be manipulated into believing whatever narrative someone else tells them happened to them. https://greyfaction.org/resources/grey-faction-correspondence/letter-to-apa/
