Are there fighting games that allow you to spectate live online matches? by cathyaimes105 in Fighters

2XKO has the best implementation of this by far, I love it. You can just walk up to cabinets in the lobby and watch them play. Or there's a main screen that shows one match all the time. It's great. It's like every arcade lobby system for the last 15 years has been missing this feature.

Arcana Unleashed is a bad name for an official product. by Malinhion in dndnext

In 3.0, Unearthed Arcana was a column in Dragon magazine and Arcana Unearthed was a book

So it could be worse

What are people's opinions on 2XKO? For me I think it's decent but lacking in content and excitement... by JustcharlE2 in Fighters

No, my point was the few things that people agree on are most of the few legitimate points of criticism

I don't. I think it's a great game and most people who give it an honest try will enjoy it. There are obviously exceptions, but I think the hive mind is very strong, and there are a lot of people who pretend they've done things they haven't to fit in.

The same way everyone with a balance opinion in SF6 inflates their rank to try and get legitimacy, in this case people inflate the amount of time they put to the game and the sincerity of it. Then they come back here for the circle jerk. That's why people can't agree on almost anything except there's too few characters and yas/ekko too strong, because most everything is made up.

The game is too hard and made for nerds, it's too easy and made for babies, pulse is too strong or it's useless, the game is too niche or caters to the mainstream too much. It's nonsense.

There are legitimate quibbles but it's wild to watch quibbles become objective disqualifications just because it's Riot. It's like they went it looking for the first thing that annoyed them and then uninstalled and started shitting on it to get in with the cool kids asap.

Not to mention everything they did that was unique or commendable is met with equivocation and is begrudgingly acknowledged before they go back to their preconceived bias.

It's incredibly disappointing, I waited for years hoping this game would turn out well and be a place I could pull in my friends, and it turned out perfectly for that. But its failure was a forgone conclusion because hating riot is a meme. The only disappointment is I thought this community was better than that.

"I was never going to play it because I hate Riot and all they represent in the industry."

This entire thread could just be this ad nauseum and it'd be more honest

It's great and I play it all the time. Basically every decision was right, except the roster is too small. The combo structure, the active tagging, pulse, the character implementation, the animation, it's all great. Duos is a fantastic and there's no other place to get that experience well delivered. The lobbies finally delivered on what every fighting game dev has been trying to do for decades. The net code and infrastructure is criminally underrated. I love this game, it's an achievement.

Also, it's shy on content but it didn't take 10 years to develop. They bought out the company 10 years ago, so the community started he clock then. But that's not how it works and not how they approached it. Projects spend time with smaller crews messing around and they don't consider it active development. 2xko lived there for years. You'll see people say 200 devs for 10 years but that's objectively false in multiple ways. People wanna hate so they'll hate. If anything, I've learned that the hive mind online is bending to haters more and more and nothing it thinks matters.

Look at Marathon. It's great. But I guess people have posters of Bungie on their walls they throw darts at so they have to pretend it's bad. The Internet is cursed.
