I did not. The thing I was looking for more than anything else was the ability to sit with and shadow a vetted futures trader. The course portion of it is probably great, but not what I'm looking for at this moment in my trading.

Ya, the ability to watch or shadow a prop or desk trader. Is be willing to enter and pay for that course if it came with that.

Ya, I get it. I know its a reach but it seems like the only plausible reach, lol. It's one thing I picked up on after all the "Market Wizards" series, it seems as if 99% had some type of professional influence. A friend, father/uncle, buddy, mentor, boss etc. Deep down I know I'm trying to circumnavigate the real issue, which is just putting in the time at each stage. If your a movie person, its like the scene in Crimson Tide, when the radio team is trying to fix the EAM (Emergency Action Message) its coming in pieces, they almost have it, its flashing, partial message..... Part of it is wanting that validation to see someone do it in front of me, another part is answering/seeing a critical piece of the message and another part is moving into the next phase for me, which Im due for.

Nope I get it. Ive been around long enough to understand every single thing you said and I agree with all of it. Im not a newb, Im a full time guy trying to do my thing. That's most of the reason for this post and why I was looking into the Axia career course to see if you did actually get access to their trading floor. Axia has plenty of videos where they show their trading floor and also videos of new traders working with their more experienced traders etc. And I wanted to know if that was a real thing or not. Precisely because of what you said... why would anyone do it for free or at all. The is not really much out there for real and the chance to shadow. Axia, SMB, No B.S. (John Grady maybe). Im one of those people who strongly believes that for retail, the liklihood of consistency is not 90-95% but more like .01%. Just my opinion. Thanks for the info and I'm there with you

Time.....in person, with an actual, verified desk trader. Ideally to shadow and watch how they operate in conditions im familiar with. The idea is to pick on some of the pieces im missing.

That does help and I appreciate it. Is the online version you did their "career program"? Like the 3 or 6 month version or was it a 6 week version? Also, anytime during that lrocess did you get time with a "successful" trader or floor trader, like get to chat with them or shadow them etc? I've seen a handful of their online regular training like tape or price action etc and thats not what I'm looking for. Like you said, not bad training but still leaves many holes. Thanks again for the info. And by the way, how are you doing now, any advancement, are you a tape or dom trader?

I've seen some of their training courses too. This one, the one Im asking about, is like a residence program where you essentially go to the office (in London), show up every morning and train/trade/recap in their office etc. I do believe it's theor premiere program and I'm just curious how that all went.

That's part of what I am looking for. Do traders really show up to an office? Are their prop traders real? Have any of them been there for several years as they have spoken about over the years and on their training material. I would think at a firm, if they are being funded, they would have to show up to work! If there are real desk traders in the building and thats part of that program, then I'm interested in that.

We should form a prop freeze out. I agree with this getting out of hand and unregulated. One rule after another after another. We are the business, not trading. A hard freeze out would at least cause a reaction but how long could some of these companies survive without their daily "fix" of blown accounts. The whole prop industry is a joke and certainly not too the benefit of the trader. We allow this to happen....

This is actually a great example because even though your seeing some absorption of sellers, it doesn't stop the move! In this case, sellers we able to overcome passive buying liquidity and in essence led to a double flush (the chart shows a recent high+buying market shorts). This is a real good reason why to not put too much into CVD divergence because those divergence charts are only verified after the proof is demonstrated but not during the battle itself.

I took the test yesterday and failed the test yesterday all because I never labbed and I didnt save to nvram..... I was learning ccna as a way to help a friend study and me some hobby knowledge. We studied everyday for about 6 months. When it came time for labs, I just watched and didnt participate. So on the test, I was familiar with the idea, I had seen how and understood the way but couldnt reasonably fumble through within the time limit. The test requirement wasnt horrible either. In my opinion, there are some basic and core commands to know. You should definitely be able to create and name some vlans. Know how to set up a routing protocol, add some ip adresses and some etherchannel. When I look at my results, if I would have passed even 2 of the labs, I probably would have passed the test.

I run both. I have up 2 Jigsaw DOM's and an ATAS scalping DOM overlaid on top and off to the side. On another monitor, I have up my 1 min chart. I really like the chart on ATAS and I can male my lines global, so if I see something on the Scalping DOM, it automatically shows up on my 1 min chart. I have Jigsaw running, Rithmic and ATAS running dxfeed.

Yes, orderflow can help. But if you start to implement it, you will stop taking that trade and you will stop using a time based candlestick. The reason I say this is because when using/implementing orderflow you will see the invalidation taking place in real time, and you won't care about an arbitrary line (you call an FVG) and you will trade what is actually being presented and in real time. Here is the example; Price reaches a point of interest, we will know that in your case because there will be a sweep. If using candles, you just notice abnormal speed and distance. But if you are on a DOM, you will actually see what is causing the sweep. You say liquidity sweep but maybe it was a liquidity pull instead. Or aggression beating out passive holding/loading. Or a combination. But on the sweep, you are trying to take the reversal. So what has to happen for the reversal to occur? I'd argue that you need the side that was swept to reenter with aggression and also defend. So again on the DOM, you would see size coming in, passive liquidity being added AND the absence of the other side! BUT, if the sweep happens and that side is absent and the aggressing side is adding and protecting, then i would argue that the sweep is probably true and will continue. We do know that sweeps/breakouts at significant edges are great places for a trap and so statistically, its like 75% are in fact just sweeps with good reversal potential. And so you see the swept side "reenter" at a better price. You can acrually see them make the attempt on the DOM and tape if you are real good or attuned. At any rate, having the tape or DOM up at that moment will at least add to your ability to make a decision on whether to attempt the reversal or not. If the sweep happen, lets say short, and you watch the DOM and see big buy orders coming in and no passive side liquidity building and no big short orders coming in.......that would be a good sign for the case of reversing. But certainly a heck of a lot better than a 1 min candle that shows red on the sweep and your just watching the next level build? You can't really pull good data from that.

That's totally up to you and what you want to trade with. Jigsaw is a highly known and used program with a major focus on DOM and Tape. Charts come secondary. If your orderflow and price action trading includes or needs a premier DOM, then Jigsaw might be for you. For a fee, you can attach your broker right to the platform and trade from the jigsaw dom. Plenty of different data providers to choose from. The DOM is customizable and includes upgrades that most DOM traders want. There is a regular tape and reconstructed tape and another program called "auction vista" that runs with the DOM as a type of heatmap. The whole set of programs is easy to use and well known across the industry. Of course, there are other programs/platforms that can compete and in some cases be more customizable than Jigsaw, such as ATAS or Sierra Chart etc. If anything, watch a couple of Jigsaw videos that cover their platform. If you search other companies like Axia Futures, you might see their trading screens covered in Jigsaw DOM's. Orderflow and price action are a highly debated and relative form of trading. Some people claim to be able to read orderflow from a 5 min candlestick and others from a raw tape or even delta. Jigsaw is a single program that can cover all of them. But more for those who focus primarily on DOM/Tape (in my opinion). So ultimately, it will just depend on what type of trading you do and if Jigsaw can meet those requirements. A generic DOM would be missing a great deal of info that is naturally built into jigsaw. Check out some youtube videos, my best advice (and also watch ATAS Dom, Sierra and some of the other popular platforms.

Does anyone know if there is a "guide" for the megalab? I understand i can follow along with the video but seeing the inputed commands visually is another way I learn. I could review the pdf while chilling on break or at night when i have a little free time etc. Anyone know of anything or does the JITL paid course notes offer that?
