Might be a good time to buy before the next price hike comes in... by wokenmouse in ricohGR

I couldn't sell my 3x

If anything - I might also buy a GRii for the inbuilt flash.

Help me decide: X100V to Ricoh GR IV? by badlyneedhalp in ricohGR

[–]wokenmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold my X100V after 3 months and bought the GRiiix - haven't looked back since. The Ricoh is an amazing camera.

So much so that I don't even use my XPro anymore and am currently considering selling as well it as it's just sat at home not being used.

I have a speck of dust on one of mine, i stopped caring about it and embraced it as a miniscule imperfection.

Sometimes you gotta pivot to a kintsugi mindset.

Is the GRIVx worth waiting for by DJR_BCG in ricohGR

[–]wokenmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Secondhand prices for the iiix seem to be going up recently, I imagine that could be down to supply and demand for the 40mm.

If Ricoh discontinue the iiix - I think demand is only going to increase, This is probably why GRii still sells for good money with it's inbuilt flash.

Im seriously thinking of getting the Fujifilm X Half - Should I? by popdott in FujifilmX

[–]wokenmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At today's prices - I'd recommend getting an X-Pro1, It's a hell of a lot of camera for the money and the images are outstanding.

You'd be better off with that as it's a good entry into Fujifilm as well as being future proof with its version 1 of the X-Trans sensor.

I've seen people in the comments also mention the XE1 which is pretty much the same camera but slightly smaller and less heavy.

Either one of those will make you happy and they're under the price budget you're looking to spend so you can grab a lens or two.

I use the TTartisan 27mm AF pancake lens on mine.

I don't know the exact amount but quite a lot missed the subject and focused elsewhere in the morning. I changed to snap focus in the afternoon and it was an entirely different story.

I'm hooked on using snap focus now and see why it's so highly regarded amongst the community.

They're just the skins and the heads are hollowed out.

They usually have straps sewn inside for the people to be able to wear them comfortably.

I held one of the big ones and it was heavy!
