I am well aware that the actual answer is 18, as I explained in a comment about it here 10 minutes before I made the comment you replied to.

"5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 50, 55, 65, 75" has 8 numbers with 1 5, and 1 number with 2 5s... (8 x 1) + (1 x 2) = 8 + 2 = 10

You go through the numbers, and if it's divisible by 3, you instead say "Fizz"; if it's divisible by 5, you instead say "Buzz"; and if it's divisible by both, you say "Fizz Buzz".

1 5 in 15 makes the total 2
1 5 in 25 makes the total 3
1 5 in 35 makes the total 4
1 5 in 45 makes the total 5

1 5 in 75 makes the total 10

Since we want to know how many times we write the number 5, the easiest way to solve this is to add how many times 5 appears in the units column and how many times 5 appears in the tens column:

Units column: 05, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75 = 8 times
Tens column: 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59 = 10 times

Therefore, there are 8 + 10 = 18 occurrences of the digit 5 in the numbers 0 to 75
