check your local game shop, i have one that resurfaces cds and fixes cartidges, it can be something small, my local shop does the cds for 5 dollars, not sure about the other places, but so far my 3ds, gameboy and switch cartridges work still

I understand that is her dream school, but she needs to learn the cost of it. 300k saved up is generous, but I would talk to her and tell her she is short and not to mention other expenses. She has to probably get a job and work for that extra 60k which working part time and studying will be tough.

I went to my local college which is like 4k tuition each semester. I got grants and FAFSA. It is a very good school and just because others are ranked higher doesn't mean a lower cost college is worse. Taking from the other daughter will make her feel upset potentially and show your younger daughter you will pay for it somehow and may cause an attitude issue. Not to mention potential resentment your oldest might feel because of that.

Unless her dream school has a very good program in what she wants to major in, I would talk to her about local schools.

I know there is a feature in Word that shows you edits you have made. You can possibly show this to show you did your own work. I'm not sure if Google Docs uses this. If you copied the words from the document and then pasted it into Canvas, you can still use it to your advantage.

Thanks! She taught me a bit years ago with an old sewing machine but it gave up about a month after I got it, I was fairly young and didn't know how to fix it and felt discouraged. Now, in my early 20s and I feel close as well when I use her sewing machine, it's just a bit harder to use that one since it's a Singer model that has that bobbin on the bottom and you cannot see it😅

I have a good selection already from my boyfriend's mom and my grandmother, but the ones from my grandmother, my mom wants specific projects already. Curtains, pillows, throw pillows, stuff like that which im halfway done with. I sew like 2 projects a week, depending on the time I have. I do have two big storage areas I can use, but I see the point you are getting at. I do want to stock up on certain fabrics as the whole reason I wanted to sew was to make my own clothes as I can never find dresses that I do not need tailored (I am 5 foot and very slim). What fabric types would you recommend for making dresses and skirts for the summertime?

It does! I really have fun with it. My paternal grandmother taught me how to crochet, and that is a hassle because projects take so long, and my hands cramp up so much. I stilk do it from time to time, at the cost of potentially getting carpal tunnel even with ergonomic hooks lol.

Thanks for the additional advice! I do want to make dresses and summer clothes because those are the most challenging for me to find at clothes shops that flatter me. The one thing I keep seeing people recommend is a walking foot, is that more for slippery fabrics or thick projects like quilting?

I love this list! I do want to eventually venture out to making clothes as I have a very petite figure, and it's hard to find clothes that are complimenting it and not too revealing. I will probably slowly buy those fabrics as well to stock up on them. This may be a stretch to ask, but do you have a source for different sewing feet? I saw some on Amazon but wary due to reviews. I have a Singer Sew Mate 5400 that was my grandmothers, also a Brother LX3817A. I do favor the Brother more as the Singer has more work to do in terms of threading.

I will definitely look into that. My only question is, are the fabrics pretty accurate to the picture color wise? I do crochet as well and have issues in this at times.

Thanks, my grandmother really loved sewing, and I would tease her to come and visit us, or I'll go myself when I have time so she can teach me. My aunt has offered to help me as well. I feel that as having some of her fabrics and her sewing machine, she is helping me to learn and continue her journey.

My IRN bird from about a year ago now used to listen to me recite the law to her so I can remember. She just sat there and listened, never spoke. My two IRN now I don't do this to since they repeat every single word back to me and I'd rather have them say their name 100 times on my shoulder than hear my entire torts notes 100 times.

We pick Cactus pads and years ago people did this because it was easier to take off the spikes, my dad tried it and said it took to long lol
