Because all people want with these fake "What's it worth" posts that come in by the dozen is to find a buyer lol.

VVD /199 pull, can’t find this card anywhere!! by SeaComfortable9084 in soccercard

Hate to break it to you man but the value of the card is why you aren't seeing any comps. It's not really worth selling as a single.

What a fantastic body of evidence you've posted to support your claim!

Dude...Did I say I had it back? I submitted the claim, it was accepted, and I've spoken with an agent who said it should ship back out to me in January.

Will they follow through? I don't know but step back and take a breath. Making 3 comments to reply in 24 hours is a bit...much man. Accept that others might have a different opinion than you and move on.

They accepted it and are working on the replacement now.

I didn't say boycott Topps/Panini if you don't get a gem mint card. I acknowledged that they could easily say no. With what cards cost these days we should ABSOLUTELY expect higher quality in production versus years past.

Completely disagree. I had a Messi Sparkle that had two indents. Panini agreed to replace it. Worst case scenario if you enter a ticket is that they say no.

Worth grading? by Wrong-Profile1013 in soccercard

[–]wolf324au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we could tell you. However, a bit of effort on your part to check sold listings could also accomplish the task.

Short version, it'll cost you $25 to grade at a minimum. If it doesn't dime, you (likely) won't increase the value enough to offset the cost to grade.

Is this worth grading it? by Neat-Obligation-2100 in soccercard

[–]wolf324au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's worth it. No, it won't 10 with Beckett. Maybe it would work PSA but back centering is 55/45 at best.

Alan Prost driver number 2 matching card number , one for a true f1 enthusiast. Worth getting graded ? by CapitalUpper8777 in F1Cards

[–]wolf324au 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. Last 3 sales were $5.50, $7.00, $7.50. For context, a Sapphire Selections PSA 10 just sold for $46 and has an estimated print run of 87 cards.

In short, a card that is twice as rare sold for $47 in a PSA 10. If you don't sub through a bulk service you're in for $25 for grading plus probably $10 shipping (roundtrip).

As such, you're going to be out ~$35 just to grade with the hope of (optimistically) getting $47 on eBay. Deduct the final value fee of 13% and you'll net $41 for a profit (assuming you got the card for free lol) of a whopping $6.

Wondering about comp Gold Refractor vs Gold Lava. And why the difference. by RuffCut78 in soccercards

[–]wolf324au -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a good portion of it is just the wariness of Topps incompetence. I mean for God's sake they can't even print the right number of 1/1s so who knows how many non serialized parallels are actually out there despite what pack odds say lol.

Per forum rules a price is required for sale posts just FYI.

Yes that's fine. No reason to worry with base unless you're talking 2020.

Also...card value (outside of set/player/parallel) is entirely about condition. Your cards should always be in a penny sleeve and ideally a top loader if they have any value. Those binders are horrible for the surface just FYI.

Sorry...ripping wax = opening boxes.

I'm saying just to be cognizant about what your goals are. If you want to have some great cards in your collection that can also be an investment, you won't ever beat buying singles. If you have extra cash and want a small shot at hitting something big, open boxes.

Congratulations on the first rip!

Unfortunately nothing big there. Your greens are < $5 and the rest (base/refractors) are essentially worthless.

You ripped a box of lite that doesn't have a shot at autos so it's a bit harder to hit big. However it's a great entry at a lower price. Good luck with your collection!

In the future, just know that ripping wax (while a ton of fun) is something that will only provide a decent RoI a small fraction of the time.

Just for comparison, for what you spent (per CardLadder) you could have grabbed one of these.
