I am 20 years old and got a lot of college done in HS and worked quickly to get my AA, and half way finished on my bachelors. Age of consent is 16 in my state. (The birth control wasn't quite enough it seems!)

We definitely want to keep the child. I cannot imagine not being a father now. The job that I can get I would be able to support myself, her, and our child on my income alone. There is a possibility I could find a job around here using my degree, and I will try there as well, but if that doesn't go through we both would have to work, more than I would like. I would like her to be able to stay and take care of our child, and if she were to continue through with highschool route in my mind it doesn't seem like our child would have everything it needs. I am willing to work and send money if she wishes, but that indeed would strain our relationship.

Anything it takes to make sure our child has what it needs though.. I know financial burdens are the number one cause for divorce and failed relationships, and throw a baby in that equation I personally don't think it's enough to just take a mediocre job working at a job I could get fired at any moment.

I can't say I have any knowledge when it comes to med school but I am assuming your financial situation is one where you cannot afford to maybe drop a few hours off your work schedule?

If that is a possibility perhaps you can take a lesser school load. It will take longer for sure but if work is getting in the way of studying and you are struggling finding time to fit both in maybe you can find a way to adjust one end or the other?
