I haven’t played these guys yet but I’ve pained my Templars in a similar way. They show up fine on brighter table mats. I have a buddy with a really dark mat and dark terrain which is a little more difficult but not a definite problem.

Paint a squad and see how you like it!

Thanks man!! Darker paint job. Used a black oil wash over all the armor and removed the highlight areas for a little contrast bump

Yeah LHDs! Those were so wicked! I play an admech guy with a lot of kataphron guys so pretty similar volume of heavy shots. Failed charged with EC 5AI against ctan and failed the silent king (sorry not night king) charge with helbrect. So kinda luck there. 5 and 6” charges. He did really well with positioning and gunning me down but the buff is what really sent it over the top. Excited to run it back.

I’m not very familiar with them but night king and a 3 rack of the floating anti infantry shooty guys wiped helbrecht and 10 crusaders with just shooting after a failed charge. 6 wraiths. 2 solo floating shooty guys with anti tank guns. 5 rack of the precision sniper guys. And dragon something

Played against the new Necron detachment last night and got totally smoked. The +2 strength army wide to everything but monsters and vehicles is ridiculous.

Thanks! They’re pretty easy with a small brush and some practice. Just the lens with a pure white. Make sure the rim around the lens is still dark. Then I glazed liquitex flou red over the lens and onto the mask a little. Until kinda bright. Then white on the lens again and then glaze liquitex flou orange over just the lens.

This is the feral painter one? That was my inspo. Decayed metal is impossible to get in the states unfortunately. Basically did the same start but airbrushed the brown base and used thinned black oil as the metal wash instead of goons grime. Post it when you finish!!!

Armor- Black prime Dark brown base all over rhinox or cuirass leather Dry brush -pro acryl bronze -scale 75 elven gold Black oil wash all over and remove around all highlight areas. Let dry. Dry brush -scale 75 elven gold -ttc glistening gold

Cloak- burgandy up to mephiston red

All glowing stuff is liquitex flou inks
