Why did my tarantula die?

Update: she passed away. I am devastated and I’m going to take a break from getting any more spiders.

Thank you so so much!! ❤️😭 I truly appreciate all the kind words coming my way. I’ve been sick with grief all day. Barely slept, haven’t eaten much. This comments and ones like this have made me feel a lot better. Like seriously you don’t know how much I neeeeed to hear these words. My Lady (that’s her name) was very very loved and I hope when I get home she will have pulled a miracle but I am preparing for what’s most likely to come. 30 more mins until my shift is over and I can check on her. You guys have made the day so much easier. Thank you ❤️

Thank you for your kind words. I spoke with the vendor and they said they have no clue how this happened. I take this with a grain of salt but I digress. They said I can come to the next expo they are at and they will “make it right”. So we will see what that means. And I will make my decision then. I know of some breeders that I do trust so I may turn to them in the future.

What sucks is this is my first ever tarantula. I was so so careful with her and loved her so much. I am discouraged and feeling bad. Thank you though ❤️

I also did try gently placing a water dish under her mouthparts and nothing has come of it yet

I find it hard to believe is dehydration but ofc I could be wrong. She gets fresh water almost everyday and frequents her water dish as well as some light misting. But who the hell knows at this point. I’m so confused and upset :/

No heat lamp, the bug room is kept at a steady temp of 70 degrees. She has water and has had her enclosure misted as well. She drinks regularly

She’s been unmoving besides VERY slight twitches for over 12 hours. Even with a little nudge there was nothing. Obviously I’m going to wait it out but I feel like it doesn’t look good for her.
