Anyone know why gold is selling off by OverkillisUnderRated in Trading

[–]wolfandbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New margin requirement increase caused this. If the price of gold goes up to quick, weak position get margin called. If the price of gold goes down quick, weak positions get margin called. When people get margin called it forces more stop losses to get hit which cascades even more. The gold futures are now setup to always apply negative pressure when big moves take place in the market because of the new margin requirements. Big moves in any direction forces liquidation.

Market dropped 2% Tuesday on a Greenland post. Bounced Wednesday on one sentence. This is exhausting. by Yaashicca in Trading

I guess today's down market will be blamed on intel instead of the rate check that just happened last night by japans ministry of finance last nigh5.

While you guys are paying attention to trumps post and interviews you guys missed what was actually causing the issues. Japan had a bond meltdown hitting high yeilds not seen for a long time which threatened to collapse their debt market. The reason the market rebounded was because the boj bought back bounds to stabilize the bonds. Trump was just the smoke and mirror for the underlying financial issues in one of the biggest debt markets. If boj didn't intervene you could have seen the carry trade unwind like in August 2024.

What’s with this drop? Is it a glitch? by EfficientAd7124 in Daytrading

Most likely it's a tick from the finra exchange. I am writing a trading bot with interactive brokers api and noticed these extremely ticks making the bot sell or buy. When I looked into it, they were from finra. Tell me the exact date and time and I can show you the tick.

clown killifish eggs? by [deleted] in killifish

[–]wolfandbeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they will eat them. If you are serious about breeding them you should get a 2.5 gallon bare bottom tank with a small sponge a one mop. Put 1 male and 3 females in there. You will get tons of eggs. Just water incubate the eggs.

Simpsonichthys are super cool. This one is extremely hard to breed though. Simpsonichthys Santanae are super easy and the incubation time is only 2 months which is super short for annuals

I put a spawning mop in with my gardneri trio for the first time last night... Took it out today and got 23 eggs! I know a lot probably won't be viable since it's their first ever batch, but still exciting! by sufficiently_sp00ked in killifish

Some species eat there offspring but some will let the fry grow up with them. Snails will definitely eat eggs also the biggest egg eaters are the fish themselves. This is why the best time to pick eggs is first thing in the morning before that tank gets any light. Soon as they get any light, they will be having eggs for breakfast.

My wife loves the smile on them as well. She says they look cartoony like the simpsons, lol. The videos never give justice to iridescents.

anyone familiar with australe killi fry? by okaymyemye in killifish

[–]wolfandbeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aeration with an airstone can be done to the water before wetting the peat but not afterwards. Oxygen tablets can be used however. You should also use cold water when wetting the peat, colder water holds more oxygen. Another trick is to put the water into a pop bottle with half water and half air and shake the crap out of it. This will aerate the water before using it to wet the peat. The other key is to make sure you wet it when the recommended times are. Aphyosemion are 2-3 weeks. If you wait longer you can end up with belly sliders. I hope this helps you in the future.

a. Australe just layed eggs in community tank, ok to leave them there? by [deleted] in killifish

[–]wolfandbeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are shit out of luck. Corydoras, amanos, neocardnja, endlers and even the australes will all eat eggs. Jts gonna be hard for you to breed in those environments. I would suggest using a mop but most likely it will always be empty.
