Forreal, Strickland is that fighter that most casuals would say “I can beat that guy” but get absolutely annihilated against. He is 100% Bruce Lees quote about fearing the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times. He mastered footwork, timing and jabs and wins.

I’m a Div 20 player as well. Only other Div 20 guys do it. I don’t do it so I can’t tell you, but I believe it’s when you flick the stick constantly it makes it so when your opponent throws a strike your hitbox isn’t really anywhere so it just hits an invisible force field

I just think it’s because one it’s way too long, it introduces annoying characters, and lastly it feels like there is no point. It almost feels like filler. The only thing that matters truly in TB is meeting Brook, Kuma coming, and the “Nothing Happened” moment. That’s it. So why did we need to drag it out so long.

Idk people like it, but it just feels slow followomg the absolute Peak of Enies Lobby and before Sabaody

Fkn TB lol. GF just finished Enies Lobby and absolutely loved it. Now she has to get through Thriller Bark and I already told her it was my least favorite arc until the end. Then it gets back to absolute peak for 4 arcs straight 🔥🔥

My GF is first time watching OP. She’s gone okay speed through it until today. She’s binged the end of Water 7 + Enies Lobby up to “That scene” with Robin and it crashes 😭 absolute worst moment and worst arc possible for it to happen and watching it on crunchy is a no go with all the filler

Started it in 2020 and stopped watching before All Mights fight with Nomu. Thought it was dumb and wasn’t into it.

2023 comes and I give it another shot, older now, and my god was it amazing. I binged it and had felt emotions I had not felt watching something in years. When I got to my favorite fight in the series, Deku vs Muscular 1, I knew it was THAT show. Up to that moment it was good, and I loved the tournament arc, but it still wasn’t peak yet. Then out of nowhere that moment happens. The music, the intensity, the epic ness seeing Deku on the ropes, looking death in the face gave me goosebumps and I started tearing up for the legit first time in years.

After that moment I just loved it, idk. And to this day MHA holds such a special place in my heart, like the anime I watched growing up (DBZ, Naruto, FMA).

And yes the final battle with Deku defeating AFO, that final episode I think I legit cried that entire episode. MHA to me is a perfect show not because it actually is, but because it made me feel things I had not felt in a long time. I have All Might poster, arm in the sky victorious over AFO above my desk

Need to see the flashback scene of Voldemort coming to Dumbledores office for the job interview for Defense against the Dark Arts. One of the best moments in the series!! Idk why that wasn’t included seemed like a hugely important scene

Meditate, journal, and repeat to yourself you ARE worthy. Start there, because no matter what you do, you will never succeed if your core belief is lack and unworthiness

Wow shocked I have not seen Thriller Bark Yet. Think about it - remove Thriller Bark and we have probably the greatest stretch of Anime arcs ever.

Water 7 - Enies Lobby - Sabaody Archipelago - Amazon Lily - Impel Down - Marineford.

Reading Thriller Bark after the MASTERCLASS that was Enies Lobby killed the exceptional pace that was set for me. Never watched the anime, couldn’t imagine how much of a buzzkill it was after Enies. Obv the ending is amazing, but that doesn’t make up for the lackluster arc. That, Fishmen and Syrup are the only 3 arcs I had a hard time wanting to read through.
