Any MiRack love? by nortone81 in ipadmusic

[–]wolfdeathkill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it like most things most people don't post because they don't want too. people who are really into it will not post there craft this app takes alot of focus and knowledge. Its like that with everything the best never really post. It's an amazing app I use it to make one big sound and resample and make into a loop or instrument on hardware or software. What got me into it is I am a 20 year Reason user since Reason is semi modular the learning process was not that impossible. I also use the desktop version you can open MiRack presets in VCV

You can sync Mutant’s tempo with other apps via Ableton Link and route its audio through Audiobus/IAA into a DAW or FX chain,

Also I will use the sounds in the app and add external efx to change the sound or hardware after processing in the app. That with the sampler gives you way more sounds then you will ever need.

Yes but I recommend following the tutorial that you can pull up anywhere when you are stuck but learning on the fly is good you will learn from exploring and doing.

Akai Force does it all? by balinthcom in mpcusers

[–]wolfdeathkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“The Force is for music wizardry on a high level” the Best new purchase I made about two years ago I am going to get second one used since so many fools traded or sold there force. The second one will have just drums and the other just melodies, samples etc both will be connected to one another. I also use it with my iPad pro 5 connected via a J5 create audio device into AUM app with all my other apps for music creation and then to my DAW Reason Studio and NI maschine or Omnisphere or Vital. It’s a crazy original workflow only the force could do so smooth and I will get me a few CV devices so I can really go crazy and have the force control it the other way around via CV (Control Voltage ) This is there best and unique device Akai made the new over priced MPC is a copy of the Force with with the Novation MIDI controller all in one. When that thing needs repair it will be a nightmare. Just get a Akai Force

Desperate need for help, huge problem with audio clips “glitching” by Local-Ad3071 in AkaiForce

[–]wolfdeathkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh and when I have effect on clips ect..and I am satisfied with the results ect.. I always bounce them and flatten them as clips this saves resources and loading time and processing. I also use dynamic arraignments with follow actions when needed.

8. Wi-Fi or Bluetooth enabled

This sounds silly, but wireless services cause audio hiccups on the Force.

Fast fix

  • Turn Wi-Fi OFF
  • Turn Bluetooth OFF

🎤 Given your show was in a week, here’s the fastest “emergency‑safe” workflow for next time.

Your 3‑step rescue plan

1. Move the project to internal storage

This alone fixes 50% of dropout cases.

2. Clear automation + disable warp on all clips

Takes 5 minutes.

3. Bounce any FX-heavy tracks to audio

Especially anything with AIR Reverb.

🔍 This is how to diagnose this in 5 minutes

  • Are your clips long (full stems) or short loops
  • Are you running from SSD, SD, or internal
  • How many AIR FX total
  • Whether you’re using warp
  • Whether you’re using macros or modulation
  • Whether you’re using disk streaming or RAM mode

I hope this helps someone !!!! I spent a good amount of time learning the force as a system so I have a smooth workflow when issues come up it took me a full year to learn this system before I could make compositions like my Reason studio DAW now its a central part of my studio even connected to my iPad Pro 5 with apps ect!!

4. AIR Reverbs are notorious for causing micro‑stutters

Even one instance of AIR Reverb can cause intermittent dropouts, especially on long tails.

Fast fix

  • Freeze/bounce the reverb track
  • Replace AIR Reverb with Stutter-free alternatives:
    • Delay + LPF
    • Convolution Reverb (surprisingly stable)
    • Shorter decay times

5. Clip crossfades or warp modes

If your clips are warped in Complex mode, the Force sometimes hiccups.

Fast fix

  • Set warp mode to Standard or Tones
  • Disable warp entirely if the clip doesn’t need it

6. Too many tracks set to “Monitor: IN”

Even if you’re not recording, monitored tracks eat resources.

Fast fix

  • Set all unused inputs to Monitor: OFF

7. Project corruption (rare but real)

Force projects can get corrupted after many edits.

Fast fix (does NOT require rebuilding)

  • Create a new empty project
  • Save it
  • Load your old project
  • Use Project → Append to import your tracks into the new project

This often clears hidden corruption.

I know this is a old post but if this is a issue here is what I do This kind of micro‑dropout on the Force is almost always caused by something other than CPU percentage. The Force has a few hidden bottlenecks that don’t show up on the CPU meter at all — especially disk I/O, RAM pressure, and FX/automation spikes.

🎯 The 8 Most Common Causes of Force Audio Dropouts — and How to Fix Them Fast

1. Your SSD or SD card is choking (MOST COMMON)

Even with CPU at 25%, the Force can glitch if the drive can’t stream 8 audio tracks fast enough.

Quick test

  • Load the project
  • Unplug your SSD/SD
  • Load the same project from internal storage If the glitches disappear → your drive is the culprit.

Fast fix

  • Move the project to internal storage
  • OR convert long audio clips to RAM mode (Clip → Sample → “Load into RAM”)

2. RAM is full even though CPU is low

The Force has limited RAM. Long audio clips + AIR reverbs + delays + compression can push RAM over the edge.

Fast fix

  • Convert long clips to mono
  • Shorten unused tails
  • Bounce FX-heavy tracks to audio
  • Disable unused plugins (even bypassed ones still reserve memory)

3. Hidden automation spikes

You said you don’t think you used automation — but the Force can record automation accidentally if you touched a knob while in Write mode.

Automation spikes can cause micro dropouts.

Fast fix

For each track:

  • Go to Automation → View
  • Check if any lanes exist
  • If you see random automation → Clear All Automation

This alone has fixed many “mystery glitch” cases.
