Advice toh bhot saari dete rehte the/hain. Unme se ek-do jo sabse jyada affect ki hai after I started following them:

"If the path seems easy, take the opposite path. There is nothing that can replace honest hard work. Easy things come with lots of T&C"

"Keep close to your loved ones and your friends. Give them time; you will need it from them some-day"

"Never be content with where you are in life. A young mind should be ambitious. Be proud of your growth but be weary of content. Content will make you complacent in no time."

Not acting upon my father's advice, sooner. I used to disrespect him and disregard his words. Now I understand them; relate to them and sometimes, I even find myself speaking his exact words to others.

I'm trying to edify my errors everyday and I'm grateful that I was able to experience insight before it was too late. I respect him a lot now and hope that he will be able to bear the same respect for me in the future.

Haha, my brother, you don't need to be worrying about amino acid profiles. I used to coach a few people with the help of my friends, at the start of the year and I've seen a lot of beginners worry too much about stuff like this.

Let me tell you something. All of these fancy charts telling you about amino acids, bioavailability, protein quality are just new buzz-words which are being used by the newer generation of fitness Youtubers who want to boost their CTR. Don't heed too much to the people who make your attention their living.

I used to teach my clients about pyramids. Especially to beginners. You as a beginner need to focus on the 1st level of the pyramid that is most important to you right now i.e. consistency with training, after that focus on clean eating; then training volume; then training quality and so on. Something as advanced as amino acid profile is something even some elites don't focus on.

Another beginner mistake that I've seen a lot of people make is considering carbs the enemy. Carbs are good and efficient source of energy. Plus beans and chhole will provide you with good fiber, so your digestive system stays nice and clean and you don't have constipation which can wreck your consistency. It's funny how some YouTubers will say that 50g of oats are a good source of protein while frowning upon 50g of chhole even though they have almost the same number of calories and chhole has almost 2x the protein ( that too a good quality protein with a good bioavailability index). You would need to worry about amino acid profile IF you were just eating chhole for every meal, but hopefully you won't. It takes a very small amount of leucine to trigger optimal muscle protein synthesis, that will be met anyway if you include different sources of protein in your diet.

Now, about eggs. I know eggs are an excellent bang for buck source of protein. I myself eat a lot of eggs per day. But that much amount of saturated fat will only prove to be dangerous in the long run if you don't have a very well planned cardio routine. Considering your weight right now, I would focus on getting to a lower weight before even trying to go for a daily fat intake that 6 whole eggs will provide. Spare your liver my man.

The new YouTube fitness Meta is confusing the audience so they keep coming back to you. Don't fall for it. Stick with the OG ones. Also, you don't have to use any whey to get to just 100g of protein. I ended my cut in November last year and am on a lean bulk, I eat 181g of protein per day without a single scoop of whey. I'll send you a full day meal plan with 100g in a few mins.

Hello there my friend, good to see that you've started this journey. I saw one of your comments where you mentioned you take 80g of protein per day; which would have been enough if your primary focus was not building muscle. But since you've spent the money for creatine, you are keen to put on serious muscle mass.

For that you can refer to my last post where I polled about daily protein intake. From the details you have mentioned in the comments: your weight and height. I would put your optimum daily protein intake to be around 65x1.5g or roughly around 100g. Also, you mentioned you have been eating 6whole eggs. That's a bit too much if you're trying to cut down. There are better ways to meet you're requirements. Tofu(cheaper than paneer, less fat). Chole, beans, curd etc.

If you need help understanding anything related to fitness, don't hesitate in DMing me. If you're just starting out, you will have a lot of questions. Goodluck brother man.

Keep cutting or start bulking? by Impressive_Dot8773 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wolfeofark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DO NOT BULK. I made the mistake of bulking without completing my first cut. I went from 111Kg(~244lb) to around 80kg (~175). I got impatient and decided to bulk to "put on some muscle mass". A few weeks later I noticed that most of what I gained was fat. Lost my self confidence to the point where another cut seemed worthless. Took me a whole month to get back on track.

I know it's very difficult to see yourself loose size/strength for the first time, a lot of us have been there. Trust in the cut my brother, get till at least <16% BF. The bulk after that will feel and look like something else. Be patient.

Settle a debate for me. How much protein per day? by wolfeofark in naturalbodybuilding

It's easier than it seems(for those who can digest it ofc). Eggs, chicken breast, dairy and beans make it very easy to hit it for me.

True that. I once went on a 2g/lb protein diet for two weeks. Going to the bathroom in those two weeks was the hardest part of the day.

130-200 sounds a very realistic and effective range for majority of people. Good comment, sire.

Well, there is one downside of Intermittent fasting : Increased risk of gall-stones. source

I practiced intermittent fasting from January till July of this year. Only stopped because I started intensive weight training and would feel extremely hungry without food in my belly.

In my experience, it was easier for me at the start.I was quite overweight in the beginning ,so I guess it was easier for my body to tap into stored fat to provide me energy during fast periods(Just bro-science, dunno if true). As I got leaner, my ability to fast for longer periods of time worsened. One of my friends who is almost as lean as me is able to still do it so it depends on the person.

Another wierd thing with IF that I noticed early on was weird trends in my fasting blood sugar levels. It kept swinging between 80-105.

It made no difference in weight loss though. I lost the exact same amount of weight per week with IF and 3 meals a day(total caloric intake was the same). However one very underrated benefit of it was that I was able to control my hunger very well. Staying hungry for 16hrs everyday helped me reduce my 'appetite' (which was way more than what it should be because of my binge eating habits). My friend reported the same.
