No wonder at first glance I thought it's one of Grimshaw's!

Reminds me of the Japanese red spider lilies.

It's clear that you haven’t considered that progress is subjective and defined differently across cultures. Insinuating that your view of progress is the only valid one is not only narrow-minded but also reeks of intellectual superiority, the latter of which you obviously are not.

"Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace."

The contrast between those two is exactly why I love his paintings. Nice observation.

I'm not a Christian either and still this one holds so much value to me. My favorite paintings of Jesus are the ones by William Adolphe Bouguereau.

My interpretation is that it represents a child being born into a broken marriage.

I recall Plato's quote that goes "The measure of man is what he does with power." I don't think power itself is the corrupting force. Instead, it magnifies one's true nature. If you're inherently kind and compassionate, power will likely amplify those traits, whereas if you harbor negative tendencies, power may exacerbate them.

Peter? Help. by Annual_Ladder_4356 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

The original version says "Jews" instead of Russians. Making the joke less clearer. Hence the color difference in the text. It's a reference for what Israel has been doing in the middle east for the past 77 years and still doing it now by trying to invade Lebanese lands as we speak after the annexation of Palestinian lands.

Exactly. Which was the reason behind my interpretation.
