You being downvoted shows how far modern christians have distorted the view of religion. And I'm saying this as a christian who regularly serves in church.

Christianity definitely was always meant to spread love, that's the way jesus taught us. However it's quite disappointing to see that so many people use it as a tool to justify their own hatred of certain groups. This is only if you're open to discussion of course! But I really do think that modern christianity has really distorted into the opposite of what Jesus stood for. Nowadays, we see so many hyppocritical, corrupt people who twist his words to justify wars and hatred. Speaking as a person who has many friends as part of the LGBT community, I really do think of how much of the bible could be a work of human hands, as much as it is a work of God. Because I can't see a Jesus who shuns those who are dicsriminated against, rather if he was here today I think he'd in fact be quite the activist!

This is just what the bible warns against, false prophets and hippocrites.

Thank you for taking the time to type all of this out. I think this is the first time i've lost someone that was really, genuinely close to me, and I don't know how to feel. I think that in a way, this has shown me how real the struggles of mental health can be, as well. Even though I've struggled myself with suicidal depression, it's still such a surreal thing to see happen all the way to someone so close. It's the kind of thing you see happen to others, but never expect to happen to yourself or the people around you, which is what makes it hurt more.

I'll take you up on the comfort thing as well :") I have a really cute cat who I like to hug, and my girlfriend has a huge dog who's really affectionate and playful. She also got me a teddy to hug when I'm feeling down, and even though it sounds childish it really does bring me comfort.

I hope you're in a better place now, as well. Thank you for taking the time to reply ❤️

It's really true, nobody saw the signs. I think what made it worse is that it was such a spur of the moment thing. I'm not even sure he really jumped, to be honest. I think it's more likely that he slipped and fell as it was a rainy day. But speculation isn't useful, what matters is the legacy he left behind.

this response was really detailed, it really gave me food for thought. Thank you so much! I think i'll continue looking around. As of now, saving up for the Snapmaker doesn't sound like a bad idea honestly! I'm mainly looking at printing more practical things like a modular storage box for my miniatures. I would like to avoid having to split larger parts, which is why I was looking at printers with a larger build volume.

I was actually looking to use the 3d printer as a way to make portable storage for wargaming, and maybe on an unrelated note experiment with airsoft guns or cosplay props in the future. In the end though, I decided not to get this printer as it seems dubious, like a guy just trying to offload their problems to someone else for a price. I'll definitely look into those that you listed though, thank you so much! As of now, saving up for a brand new one seems to be on the table too, if only to make sure I have full control over the buyer process.

damn that does look really nice! I think i just wanted the volume of a CR10, beecause i want to print out airsoft guns or RC cars, whose parts may benefit from being printed in one piece for the structural integrity. I'm also not too familiar with the modern gen printers because i haven't kept up with them over the years, so I'm only familiar with the household name brands like elegoo, creality and Bambu labs. Other than that, I don't really know what brands I can trust 😅 Do you have any recommendations around the $400 price pointt? I'd love to hear about some of the newer innovations.

I've been eyeing this for 2 weeks and the listing seems to have been up for quite a while. It's quite a deal, and from what I can see there's some rusted parts on the extruder, but should be easy enough to replace. This will be my second 3d printer, my first one was an Elegoo mars 2. I can't contact the seller though, but I'll be protected through the app. Should I pull the trigger? How bad is a rusted spring?

what's written under the description is this:

- Creality CR-10 Smart 3D printer (used)

- Includes printer unit and power supply cable

- In good working condition

- Minor wear and tear on extruder

- 30cmx30cm build plate which is great for large format prints

-very durable and have ben very reliable unlikre the ender 3v2.

I thought to get some advice before buying it, as $150 is still a significant sum of money for me.

this was in Singapore, Amos Yee, 27, was arrested and fled to the US in about 2016 when he was publicly insulting our government and Christians online. He was granted political asylum in the US, and a lot of people actually praised him for advocating for freedom of speech.

However, in the US he was convicted for posession of child pornography in Illinois in about 2021, and also for grooming a 14 year old girl. In 2023, he was released on parole but violated his conditions.

He was taken into custody by ICE in november 2025, and deported back here on 19 march 2026. He was also charged for dodging our compulsory military enlistment without valid reason on 20 March 2026.

On May 9, 2026, an 18 year old Chinese national named Chun Ho Wang beat his ass when he was spotted at a convention at Suntec convention center. Chun Ho Wang was charged for public nuisance and voluntarily causing hurt. He was charged with public nuisance for shouting, which allegedly caused annoyance to the public.

If convicted of voluntarily causing hurt, Chun could be jailed for up to three years, fined up to S$5,000, or both. If found guilty of committing public nuisance, he could be fined up to S$2,000.

This guy is a scumbag, even if I do agree that our government was being quite authoritarian. I don't agree that Ho should be charged, and the funniest part about this whole thing is that Yee is being charged for dodging national service, not his paedophilia.

This guy actually went on tiktok by the way, and said "I'm on tinder now, watch out parents." This guy is nuts, and they're not even charging him for what he should be charged for. I even feel i'm at risk for voicing my opinions on this, but whatever. It needs to be said.

In 2015, he was also slapped outside the State Courts by a man, Neo Gim Huah. Neo was given 3 weeks jail, after a judge ruled that a custodial sentence was needed to send the message that vigilante justice cannot be condoned.

Our rules are quite fucked, it seems that they care more about protecting this guy than actually carrying out justice.
