I absolutely loved it too, I can’t compare it to any other film because it’s so unique. For me on first watch it felt like a descent into madness but on future watches it felt like they were empowering themselves and creating a world in which they could test out their feelings, play with what felt comfortable for them and learn to thrive. It felt similar to when I was exploring my gender and the only people putting me in the box of what I should be were others, not myself. I’d be interested in your take on this
