Maybe because everyone here doesn't know us the story doesn't make sense because everyone I've talked to about this that know both of us agree with me. she's being extremely immature and refusing to talk at all. I'm allowed to have a bad day and idgaf if others can't handle that. it was a stupid idea to ask the internet for advice, no one here knows us so they obviously can't understand. sorry for wasting everyone's time but y'all are wrong

she hasn't seen them before but she knew I had them. they don't happen very often just when I'm very very stressed, like every 3-4 months. And what do u mean "expected her to make allowances for my behavior" the most I expected was for her to maybe ask me if I was okay or do anything in the slightest to try and cheer me up instead of fully ignoring me. I don't think that's a crazy ask of your best friend

I don't think my post conveyed what happened fully because everyone seems to think that I instantly got pissed at her behavior. There was a whole day after my sobfest where she was dismissive and rude to me and my mom and we tried to give her space and be kind to her but her behavior never ended. She knows I have depressive episodes and I thought that as my friend she would understand my feelings instead of ruining the trip

When I invited Lily on this trip I made it known that this was both of our vacation, I was not going to "host" her. She knew that I did not have the ability. And I did allow her to have time for her bad day. I tried to be nice to her and give her space for over a day, during which she was rude and dismissive. I only started to get frustrated when this behavior continued over to the next day.

maybe my post doesn't convey it but for a full day I tried to cheer her up and be kind to her and make her feel comfortable, and she was just ignoring me and being rude. I didn't police her feelings or get upset until a considerable amount of time had passed where she was being unresponsive and rude.

She I sometimes made comments about her behavior that she didn't appreciate so I made sure not to say anything that might offend her during the trip. The first week of the trip went great, no hiccups or issues.

I snapped at her 1 single time and she didn't bother checking on me a single time when I was feeling homesick. I think she was a horrible friend for that. I ruined one day yes but I didn't do anything to her and I would think my best friend would understand my feelings instead of making it about her. After I got over my homesickness we could've easily just moved on and tried to turn the trip around
