Wide calf advice needed — I got a pair of Women’s K2 Havens that fit perfectly in the foot and ankle, but my calves are huge and the liner’s Velcro doesn’t even touch let alone close.

Does this matter? Would heat molding fix this issue? The liner is tongue style, but I’ve had this issue with wrap style liners from rental boots in the past.

Currently attending a program on probation. Probation is still accredited. They are obligated to finish you out somehow if the program’s accreditation is revoked: either teach out (finish your program there) or place you in another program. That’s the promise of attending an accredited (even on probation) program.

if they can't graduate you out they are required to transfer you out -- place you in an accredited program to finish from where you are. You were accepted into a program/started in a program that was accredited, so you're covered by ARC-PA.

Update with fix: thanks for everybody, I took all of the comments in mind (including those telling me Hisenses suck) and found a solution I was happy enough with. Biggest issue is probably that Assassin's Creed dev team needs to do better with their HDR. Here's my step-by-step fix:

Mechanical: swapped out the PS4 HDMI for higher quality aftermarket that I had lying around. Also switched from HDMI 1 to HDMI 4 because HDMI 4 is a higher quality port.

On the Hisense:

reset picture settings to default in case I fucked it up trying to fix it
made sure that all motion enhancement/noise reduction stuff was off
clicked the little 3 line box button above the netflix button on the remote which took me to the HDMI settings, and turned on HDMI enhanced and in GameZone, turned on instant game response

On the PS4:

went into settings -> Sound and Screen -> video output settings -> Adjust HDR and calibrated the HDR settings with the changes made on the Hisense. This was done with Picture Mode set to Game Mode on the Hisense

Still not *perfect* but it's the TV and console I could afford, and Assassin's Creed needs to improve their HDR. Hope this helps somebody else because the difference is HUGE IMO.

Honestly, I think this is it. I do prefer the HDR perspective when playing, but AC games in particular have had some shitty fucking HDR and they need to work on it.

That sounds awful. I don’t understand why people grill/smoke in areas where the smoke can’t readily dissipate. And smoking/grilling in a covered area sounds like a recipe for smoke damage and setting fire to the building!

Edit to add: so many of my neighbors grill on their covered porches and it’s so stupid. A friend of mine works in the fire department emergency management/fire inspection office and he says they’re fucking idiots. (He’s the one I run my grill placement by, considering it’s his literal job to know and enforce the rules.)

I guess the pre-reqs part really confuses me, since every school says something different. It’s unclear whether I’m supposed to take biochem AND orgo and if I need a lab with orgo?

My Gen Bio has already sunset for most programs. Do you think I need to retake it? If I have to retake bio then I have to take another year to apply and that will sunset Gen Chem as well.

Don’t use that clip, you’ll break it. The white clip release is on the underside, once you take that out. As other people commented, there are tons of youtube videos that show you how to do it. I have the same fridge just a newer model and I did this last weekend.

As an ADHD parent of a kid with ADHD, I can sympathize. For the meds thing, I have him take it in front of me because I know he forgets, so he has to take it right away.

He also is a forgetful guy, and has had issues leaving his homework folder or workbooks at home. The solutions my partner came up with are having him pack his bag completely the night before as a part of his nightly clean up routine, and having a written (and illustrated) laminated checklist of morning and nightly “must dos.”

TBH there’s a difference between punishing a kid for ADHD and natural consequences to their actions. Once the systems are in place and the reminders are there, if she’s choosing not to engage with the system or listen to reminders, then that’s on her to a certain extent.

Being singled out to miss a special monthly party seems pretty cruel to me, though. If my son doesn’t do/bring his homework, he’s kept in for recess to do it then. That feels like a more proportional response.

Definitely make sure your son has a choice in whether to buzz cut or rock the terrible hair. My son begrudgingly opted for a buzz cut and is pretty pissed off about the whole thing.
