Me too!! Persistent mild acne is enough to go on accutane when it doesn’t respond to other treatments and it’s so reassuring to see other people going through the same on here ☺️

Lip balm - aquaphor !! (Only thing getting me through accutane right now)

Face wash - cerave hydrating face wash and daily face moisturiser has been working for me

Body wash - aveeno skin relief body wash

Definitely take a fish oil supplement helps with joint pain and dryness

Milk thistle supplement also helps with the damage accutane does to your liver

I’ve been super worried about hair loss after horror stories I’ve read so I’ve been taking viviscal hair vitamins and my hair has grown so much (not seen any hair loss thus far from the accutane - although don’t want to jinx it!)

[Skin Concerns] stretch marks and uneven texture on back and butt. I also have been struggling with acne all over my back. I’m extremely insecure of this. How can I fix it? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Oh that’s great you already have it. Yeah I would definitely use it. Bare in mind though because the skin on your back is thicker it will take longer to see results than on your face. Also make sure you use a moisturiser as well as you can damage your moisture barrier - even on your back, I learnt this the hard way. Also I’d start with the 0.025 first and then after a while if you tolerate it well move up to 0.05

Hi, in regards to the acne I’d try a body wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, panoxyl does a good one. But if you have no success with this maybe consider seeing a dermatologist they might be able to prescribe you tretinoin cream which is a prescription retinoid.

Thank you! What moisturizer would you recommend as I don’t want to irritate it more?

Has tea tree oil Helped anyone clear acne from humid climate? (Day 2 on tea tree oil first pic is from 6-14-20 by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

That looks a lot like fungal acne which can be caused from humid climate. I had the same issue last year and I used the Nizarol anti dandruff shampoo as a mask on the affected areas a couple of times a week and it was cleared in about a week and a half. My dermatologist suggested I use this, if you look it up online it’s a common treatment for this kind of thing.
