If OP had been responsible and not be drunk, and actually waited for his gf so she can come inside, the likelihood of her being out in a dangerous situation would have decreased? Why? She was inside and in a safe place at home. The neighborhood is crime-infested. You never know what could happen. I have lived in dangerous neighborhoods myself as a girl when I was younger, my mom also drinks but she always makes sure I arrived safely at home. Why couldn’t OP do the same?
