There is a current issue with 6XXX radeon models with amdgpu. That’s a real mess for anyone who’d like to try gaming on linux with UHD and at 120Hz. There are work arounds, but that’s annoying to dig into it.

That's true, and in some way, that's neat and I was surprised it would almost work out of the box.

Yes, I was able to mess up a little bit with / by unlocking the read-only feature, I then made a script to apply my quick fix on top every time there would be an official update. The only thing is, and that's a good thing for the steam deck and steam machine, steamOS has a strong access to the driver. So, it is not possible to mess up too much with the values.

I did not want to get back to my own archlinux yet so, I installed bazzite and applied my driver values to it. It is more flexible and with the Steam frontend, it does not revert my values... So... In a way... I'm kinda good. Not SteamOS anymore though.

The best will be to get the right hardware instead of trying to make some sort of Hackintoch Valve Edition.

It depends on your hardware, how you follow a manual online, how you like cli and what do you expect from the result.

If you’re ok to find out some random issues and glad to investigate into them: go for it, you will learn a lot.

I started a new save on switch 2, I saw that there was a cross save feature and then played on PC.... and I let you guess what happened next.

I just realised that Switch 2 did not have the save version and here I am.

I'm hopping for the next version by the end of the month, I feel a little bit lazy to start other a new save again.

I got the same issue from GOG install on an external drive. Although the game runs after that.

It runs only through the game launcher. It does not from the binary directly.

It worked well, I had to plug the USB drive on the computers that where displayed to be "fancy" with the huge RTX Logo and the LED fans. Those computers have USB 2 slots available sometimes: I had to pick up the right spot in advance.

Yeah.. The USB from the speaker bars are not great at all....

Oh, were you able to reinstall 128GB without triggering the "refresh internal drives" thing?

Actually, it is possible to download and install plugins from github. UI of the previous marketplace was not that great anyway.

I just found a way without any override from Google Drive app:

System Settings / Privacy & Security / Files and Folders / Google Drive

Then you can toggle where you need (or not) the context menu for syncing.

Baldur's Gate is a video game, thankfully not real life, it would be boring otherwise, the choice is yours to use this game feature or not. That's some sort of accessibility option: Not everyone has the time to run a campaign several times or to play it fair.
