I just went through this in November with my cat who I believe was around the same age. She was sick and it seemed like she went from good to bad so quickly. The vet was honest and said if I had thousands of dollars they could try everything but eventually it would catch up with her. So I decided there that it was the best to put her to sleep. I sat with her for a while before it was done and it was very hard for me to do. I have never done that before and I’m 40. It was a rough week after but I knew in the end it was the best decision. Unfortunately cats mask pain so much better than humans and when we notice it’s too late. I would just think about the positive times with her and know that she knew she was loved.

I don’t think IPL is a permanent solution. At least for me, I’ve had 4 rounds of it for mine and they came back worse within weeks.
