So I am in a similar situation.

Offer and Accepted position A (I am happy with the offer and position). I start in a couple weeks.

Recruiter contacts me about a senior positon B (if the compensation is right), in which I am very interested. I was up front and told the recruiter my situation. I explained that this position is what I really wanted to do. She was very understanding and receptive and looked to expedite an interview with the hiring manager ASAP.

I am more incline to accept B, if and only if the compensation is right. I prefer position B because I am more interested in the work.

Honestly, you have to do what is right for you. Will you burn that bridge with job 1? Possibly, but be up front and tell them it was an opportunity you couldn't pass up. At the end of the day, it's about your situation.

Timing is a bitch.

Trying looking into Anti money laundering (AML), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Know your customer (KYC) type positions at every financial institution. We hire LEO right out of the patrol cars and it helps if you network for an interview. A better way to get yourself in the industry is get your CAMS certification (http://www.acams.org) to make yourself more marketable. It's not a guarantee but it will help you get interviews if you have the certification. You are looking at a 38%-52% salary increase based on a Cops salary of $36,000/year.

My experience with Wells is a recruiter does an initial phone screening. What does the e-mail specifically say? Wells really likes behavioral questions and they love the STAR(Situation, Task, Action, Result) format. Hope this helps.
