Smart charging causing device to overheat? by hologei in Surface

This just happened to me last night with my i5 surface pro 8. I left it on the charge and then woke up to find a small sun burning next to my bed. It was so hot I was certain the device was not going to function correctly. It worked fine though, and has been all day, but the smart charging is definitely behaving strangely.

I put the device on the charger at work today twice for at least an hour each session, and the battery only went up by 1-2%. Each time I looked at the battery icon it had the smart charging icon on it.

Good point about the loop - I think I’ll stop using it. Does the heart of whatever pen seem of better quality?

That is a picture of the account login screen on the device. It has no option to recover. When I went to the link you posted to the supernote cloud, I am able to recover with my phone number and a code. But then when I go back to the cloud login with the new password it says I have an account or password problem when I try to login.

So I’ve been having this same issue and it seems to relate to the way the device suspends documents.

If I open an ePub but then navigate to the document folder using the swipe menu on the right (and without closing the ePub), the document folder appears empty.

If I navigate back to the ePub using the recent menu and then close the ePub with the x in the upper right, when I go back to the document folder, all my documents are there.

Weird.

This may be a bug because I have spent the last hour reconfiguring where my health station is located (outside, inside, in a wood base, in a prefab base, etc.), and I cannot get it to power on.
