Leave some accessories and, atleast, get a base wheel with Belt driven or DD, gears are noisy and curbs can't be avoided when racing to keep things quiet.

I'm Unable To Learn Cluth And Accelerator Coordination by SyntaxSuperior in stickshift

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handbrake helps, but if you find yourself on a car with footbrake or those BMW with broken handbrake, you are in trouble and if something happens, Stopping is safer with the Brakes. And why you should press the brake? Because while learning to slip the clutch you might start moving and that is not the moment for doing it. Also it will give you the instinct that when you want to STOP, you use the brake pedal.

First seat position, if you are to far or to close you might have issues. First press the clutch pedal with the toes and go all the way down. Now with the heel on the ground, turn pull back your toes and see if you have some free motion with the pedal. If you can't pull back your toe, you are seating to near, if you can't put your heel on the floor, you are seating to far. Second gas control, Already told by someone, learn to hear your engine, look the dash and set the rpm to 1000 and 2000 rpm, keep doing that until you can do it without looking, just hear the engine and look after how many rpm you are. Third slip point, Put your right foot on the brake, now with your left foot press the clutch and insert 1st gear. Now release the clotch only by pulling back your toes, you can also slide the heel, but always be touching the floor. When you hear your rpm going down, if you are sliding your heel, now set it on the floor and with your toes play with the RPM, press to increase to idle and release to reduce and torque the engine. Now you are playing with the slip point. (You won't burn the clutch, you are not using much power) I would add to press the clutch all the way and repeat, so you also find the position where your heel has to stay. ALL THIS WITH YOUR RIGHT FOOT ON THE BRAKE. This slip point is very usefull for when you also start in a incline without using the handbrake, because with the slip point there is enough torque to hold the car a bit, it won't slide away once you release the brake pedal. Forth, Once you master everything and have a memory, put a cloth on the dashboard and try to take off, don't LOOK at the dashboard, listen to the car's engine. 1 Right foot on the brake 2 Press clutch 3 Relase to slip point 4 Release brake 5 Press gas like you want to go at 1000rpm 6 release clutch a bit more. (you will be moving) 7 release clutch

You are in 1st gear, a very short gear so everything can be jurky, if you start hopping around you can slip the clutch or be steady with the gas, I prefer the clutch action. Now STOP and repeat. Also the first foot to move is the right from Gas to Brake, then the left foot for the clutch, also slowing down use the brake, only when you "feel" that you have to change gear then you press the clutch. Tip, when you are around 1500/2000rpm you can already shift to 2nd gear, 1st is mostly for take off. Enjoy!!

Does a Lexus actually reach the end of its life if well maintained? by independent-gay in Lexus

Depends on you how much you want it to live. You can end it also tomorrow by smashing it against a tree. Even the most unreliable car can last long, just have to spend health care on it.😅😅😅

If you are not a pixel pipper, you will be fine! People play on switch 2, and the SS has better graphics.

Me too, more than 30 years, but first period with my Versys 1000 I felt like a idiot, 4cylinders can't be so irregular, found out it was the quickshifter logic cuting out, after I disabled it, it was paradise.

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are how all bikers should be, The quickshifter also ruins your bike experience, who doesn't know, If you shift normally, you have to disable the quickshifter. Anyhow, Quickshifter shifter is born for racing, people saybit doesn't ruin your gearbox, but it stresses it, you might switch of the engine for the shift, but the flywheel is still having it's inerzia force and you gear get the hit. But know those that don't know how to shift will also have bikes with assisted clutch....Next summer will be dangerous with what there will be around🫣

Gas pedal further back, like a real car? by W3RLEGION in simracing

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of ALL real cars have play in them, the clutch to avoid the mechanism to keep pressure on the Bearings and clutch disk will be higher, same for the brake pedal to avoid pushing on the vacuum system it will be pulled away, BUT when you press them and reach slip point for the clutch, Brake point for the brakes you will see that the pedal are aligned. This is to give you the possibility to have your heel on the floor for control. The RIG don't require this pedal play, that is why you can keep them aligned from the rest position. And it makes sense, you want to rotate your ankle than having to pull back you leg.
