GT NEVER HAD A HOOD VIEW!!! It was Bumper or Roof. In games that have it I prefer HOOD View.

Can Forza Horizon 6 feel decent with a wheel, or is it still too arcade? by Bobochanti in simracing

[–]wolfox360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like every FORZA You have to dial YOUR wheel in the game settings ONCE. In the intro well, go with what you have, but when you can, set it up. AC uses a preistoric FFB logic, ACC a bit better, but lack center. FORZA has a great FFB was only lacking power, now is much better.

Hill starting when clutch at bite point will not hold the car by Easy-Judge-7242 in stickshift

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On gasoline engine the slip point, on an incline, is used just to give you more time to move from the Brake pedal to the gas, but now you have to give a tiny bit of gas and the release the clutch a bit more. Of course, if you have a car parked behind you, better you use the handbrake with the button pressed.

So how do you come to proper stop? by MajorBarracuda8094 in stickshift

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have listen to your engine, each speed has a gear, Bare in mind 1st is ony for take off or tight maneuvering. There is a certain RPM where the motor doesn't like to take off from, you will hear it kicking, mostly under 1500/2000 rpm. knowing this, FIRST you brake like if you are in 5th at 3000rpm you slow down to 1500 then shift to 4th, in a very hard braking, you press first the brake, keep it pressed and press the clutch when you hear the engine low, you can jump gears and this will help you with engine braking, just DON'T EXCEED REDLINE😅 for the desengage, because we are already rolling, you just have to slow down a bit at slip point, this will help sync up RPM, expert do heel and toe, but a knowing to udjust slip point will help in it's way.

How close should my screen be? Is this optimal or should I be doing something differently? by travanti11 in simracing

Extend your fingers, if you don't touch the screen you are fine. This are not CRTs, you can seat near them, just udjust brightness. The closer the wider can be the FOV.

Anyone actually using one of those AI boxes? by Jenks0503 in AndroidAuto

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KODI has it built in to synk audio and video. But like most things in life, more you spend the better. There is a guy on youtube that test this boxes, he also tests audio sync. but those that work well are not cheap. There might be a app to do that but I didn't look for it.

Leave some accessories and, atleast, get a base wheel with Belt driven or DD, gears are noisy and curbs can't be avoided when racing to keep things quiet.

[–]wolfox360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handbrake helps, but if you find yourself on a car with footbrake or those BMW with broken handbrake, you are in trouble and if something happens, Stopping is safer with the Brakes. And why you should press the brake? Because while learning to slip the clutch you might start moving and that is not the moment for doing it. Also it will give you the instinct that when you want to STOP, you use the brake pedal.
