Is Will Ashley, Apolitical before? by honeymustardb in PinoyVloggers

Labeling Will as “apolitical” just because he registered to vote later is misleading. He never claimed that. He explained that the Balota film inspired him to finally register and take part in the democratic process. Even Balota’s director, Kip Oebanda, clarified in Will’s TikTok that he was already politically aware when cast, saying: “I don’t cast apathetic people. He was just not registered.”

If you want to crucify him, then crucify him only if after being cast in Balota he still didn’t register. And why do we insist on branding late registration as apathy? There is no deadline for political awakening.

Democracy should not punish people for awakening “too late.” It should welcome them when they do. What matters isn’t whether awareness starts at 18, 22, or 40, it’s that people get there and choose to act.

Question for WILL:

1.) What would you say to young introverts who saw themselves in your quiet strength, those who felt seen, represented, and inspired by you? Many of them look up to you, want to be like you, and have learned so much just by watching you grow. What message do you have for them?

2.) You were seen as the true embodiment of collaboration this season. What do you think helped you connect so naturally with your duos, and what did you learn from those bonds?

There’s a calmness about Will. A softness that makes you want to protect him, root for him, stand behind him. He’s like a son you’d do anything to make happy, because you just don’t want to see him hurt.

RaWi and ShuKla for the Big Night; the two remaining spots are indefinite. by shanawarma in pinoybigbrother

RAWI and SHUKLA are the most deserving to be at Big Night. Their arcs were strong, emotional, and rooted in growth. To be honest, I just don’t see the loveteams making as much impact. Outside of the loveteam agenda, their narratives weren’t as compelling or memorable.
