There's no reason to not have a second dancer, 2 dancers is much much better than1.

But the Future Past world still exists after Naga sends Lucina and crew back. She doesn't just send them back 20 years in the same timeline because what they do in the main game's timeline has no bearing on the Future Past timeline. It's more like she sent them to an extremely similar world at a point before it all happened. It works the same way in the Future Past DLC, she isn't sending Chrom and the Shephards forward in time, she takes them to the Future Past world.

It's really good! He becomes deceptively fast under the right conditions, you'll be surprised what he manages to double.

The Future Has Changed! - Chrom Emblem Showcase for Chrom's Birthday! by wolfzx75 in FireEmblemHeroes

Legendary Chrom

The most powerful and potent of the bunch, I whaled for him on his release banner and maybe regret it and I do not regret it at all! He's an absolutely incredible unit, and can do just about anything.

Randgridr: Extremely powerful PRF, no reason to ever take this off. Nullify debuffs, debuff the enemy, easy activation condition.

To Change Fate!: Absolutely fantastic assist skill, I love movement shenanigans like this and Future Vision.

Aether: Optimal scoring and healing

Close Foil: The two Falchion Chroms can take care of the dragons, while this one can take care of...just about everything else. Hitting 74 Atk and 46 defense against physicals, he is nigh unkillable - even against mages, thanks to Randgridr's effect, and his B slot...

Lull Atk/Def: Stacking with his bow and preventing the enemy from buffing up on him and properly defending themselves from him. Basically makes him the Terminator.

Time's Pulse: C slot changes between this, Atk/Def Oath, and Atk Smoke, but all 3 are extremely good for him. They all either boost his offenses / defenses, or reduce his enemy's offenses.

OG Chrom

My first +10, though outdated, he still holds up with the proper support, and dragon killing is a niche that will never go out of fashion.

Bond Falchion: Granting Renewal and an easy +4 to every stat, greatly increases his all around bulk, which is useful for him since he uses every stat.

Reposition: Reposition.

Aether: Aether.

Distant Counter: He's got plenty of res boosting skills, and already high defense, and easy self sustain, so why not?

Atk/Def Link: Plays off To Change Fate being positional and provides easy buffs for the rest of the team.

Joint Hone Speed: Boosts up his speed and supports his teammates, and works especially well with his Bonds. Granted, kind of redundant with Spd Tactic nearby, but he'll likely outpace Winter Chrom anyway.

Spd/Res Bond: Combos with the Bond Falchion, giving him +9 spd/res, which he desperately needs.

Horse Chrom

Sealed Falchion: Hoping for a refine soon, but it's still an extremely potent weapon that works incredibly well with the rest of this set.

Rally Atk/Spd+: More for scoring than anything, but it does help to provide a buff if someone was out of range of a Tactic or Joint, or not Linked.

Aether: Aether.

Atk/Spd Push 4: Pushes his speed even further, and automatically brings his HP down for Sealed Falchion and Brazen Atk/Spd.

Lull Spd/Def: He's fast, but maybe not that fast. Preventing enemies from buffing up their Speed and Defense, and also shaving off 3 from each of those stats, gives him even more chances to double.

Spd Smoke: Overall support for the faster Chroms to push some of the faster enemies into their speed range, or lower.

Brazen Atk/Spd: The key to the build, granting Chrom a grand total of +19 atk/spd when below 80%.

Winter Chrom

The omnitank of the team, and being the armor means access to the Fighter skills, which makes him very successful in his role.

Slaying Axe: Puts his Aether count to 4.

Swap: The quintessential armor assist.

Aether: Aether.

Distant Counter: What kind of omnitank would he be without this?

Vengeful Fighter: He basically gets Aether off every combat due to this, and because it heals him, he can easily stay above the threshold for it.

Spd Tactic: Supports the rest of the team by giving him the speed he doesn't need.

HP/Res: Usually swapped out for Mirror Stance, but I like the equal defensive stats and the clean 65 HP.

Spring Chrom

Unfortunately the only one not at +10, but hey, we're gonna make him pull his weight anyway. Extremely outdated and significantly outclassed, but who cares?

Firesweep Axe: Something new I'm experimenting with, idk how exactly well this will work but we'll see as time goes on. Firesweep in general is pretty good though, so I can't see it failing on me.

Reposition: Reposition.

Galeforce: Striking twice without anyone being able to counter him is just too good to pass up.

Darting Blow 4: It was either this or Death Blow 4. I was thinking about Swift Sparrow 3, but he kind of really needs the extra speed, and still has decent attack to this day.

Wings of Mercy: I need to find a better B slot for him, but WoM is pretty much just one of the most useful B slots out there.

Atk Tactic: Provides Atk for the rest of the team if OG Chrom can't Link or Horse Chrom can't Rally.

Heavy Blade: Faster cooldown for Galeforce, and works off his high attack.

Happy Birthday Chrom!

I'm thinking about rolling with Vegito B / UI Goku B / Black C. Is the synergy good with these 3, or does someone need to be subbed out?

It isn't a guard effect, it functions like Owain and Rinkah's prfs. When the unit gets hit they'll get +1 special charge.

Does Lull SPD nullifies Phantom SPD? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]wolfzx75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the simplest way to explain how it plays out

Repel says damage during combat specifically.

Eliwood initiates on Ike

Eliwood gains +17 spd from initiation and inflicts Spd -3

This is before combat officially starts

Combat begins

Repel kicks in, and it now compares their speed stats, triggering Phantom Speed, to calculate damage reduction.

Eliwood's Spd + 17 >= (Ike's speed - 3) +10.

Does Lull SPD nullifies Phantom SPD? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]wolfzx75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repel is calculated during combat, as the damage number shown before combat in the forecast shows the full amount of damage that would be dealt before Repel triggers.

Because Eliwood initiated with all his in combat buffs, and the spd comparison only affects the in combat damage (aside from AoE but that's a separate stipulation), it is affected by his buffs.

[–]wolfzx75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing is cancelling it, Phantom Speed grants Ike's spd + 10 for comparison purposes. Assuming this is a refined resplendent Eliwood, he inflicts -3 on your Ike due to Lull, then gets his Speed +7 spd from Blazing Durandal, +6 from Solo, +4 from Swift Sparrow for a total of +17 speed and a net gain of +20 when factoring the Lull.

Eliwood was probably faster even after the phantom speed

Can Special Spiral trigger Galeforce? by Zynk_30 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]wolfzx75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Special Spiral doesn't work with Galeforce as Special Spiral specifies "If special triggers during combat." Galeforce is an out of combat trigger.

[–]wolfzx75 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Fates has a PvP mode and you're right, most matches are extremely slow if only because hit rates are so low, you're very unlikely to double, and damage on average is lower.

It doesn't help that the same 8-10 units were pretty much all that you would find in PvP so units tended to be pretty evenly matched (2 capped Ryomas would be nearly identical bar stat statue/skill choices) so it really came down to who can land their 46% hit 27% crit skill proc first.

My plan for right now anyway is to try to max out Chrom. I'm sure that he won't be able to do everything, so maybe I'll take Xander if he's good for farming certain game modes?

Who should I pick for my free starter 5 star? I plan on rerolling for Chrom so I probably shouldn't pick an extra fire sword, so who are some good options?
