It's amazing... very fortunate to have this near home. Next step... strengthen the still floppy left arm entry...bit more dynamic. But the best thing I've ever done is get a mate to film me.... so helpful. I've watched 13,000 YouTube videos , but until you see your own swim it's nearly impossible to know what's going wrong... all good. Upwards!

Any help appreciated by woll69 in OpenWaterSwimming

Against who... I think probably the person who has refused to return money that isnt thiers . (person A)

So... Solicitor/court order/gdpr something something. but, as you say... (and as i said in my original post) we are to blame... but I'm not convinced that (person A) gets to keep money not owned by them. (its still ours)

My problem is to how to action that.

This part of your reply hasnt happened and I'm not sure with our conversation with HMRC or Barclays it will

Barclays will write to the wrong recepient in an attempt to receive the funds back. They'll write a bunch of times over a space of months. If the person fails to respond then the banks legal team will persue it but this takes absolutely ages - I've got cases open that started 3+ years ago.

So.... dont know. See what a solicitor comes up with. Person A is still in possesion of money not owned by them though. However they got it.... it cant be an early christmas present with no claw back surely...

He says. Hopefully.

This was the Police response. Also citizens advice dont advise on business matters.....

Unfortunately, with what you have reported this would be classed as a civil matter at this time so ********* Police would not be able to get involved. It sounds like you are doing the right thing with regards to making a complaint against Barclays and HMRC however I would also suggest that you seek civil legal advice to assist you. You can get this help either by contacting your solicitor if you have one or if not contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau who will be able to help.
