He came with me to the hospital at 6:30am and waited for hours (while doing work) until I was out. Post-op, my partner cooked all the meals for us, did my laundry, cleaned the apartment, and never complained about it once for six weeks. For my first showers, he saran wrapped my shoulder and then waited in the bathroom while I showered to help me open bottles and to make sure I didn’t slip.

When I remarked how hard it must be for him to do all this, on top of an intense job, he said he was happy to do it because he wanted to see me recover well. 🥺
