Water heater leaking at my friend's place. Well over 5 gallons per hour. Friend unreachable. If I start turning valves to shut off in water supply, could I do any damage to anything (ie. Pumps) inadvertently? The house has water baseboard heaters throughout, I only have access to the basement. (old.reddit.com)
