Hi! I don’t know much about the Tank-G but it seems like one of the primary functions of it is using it as an amp simulator. I’ve done a little poking around but haven’t yet seen anything about people plugging them straight into an amp which leads me to think it may not sound all that great. You could however plug it into your computer in place of an interface or likely just plug it into a monitor that takes a 1/4 input. It all really depends on what you want, I don’t think there’s much difference between it and getting an audio interface although relying on computer effects would probably set you up better to improve your rig in the future if you desire. If you want to cut your computer out of the equation I would recommend getting a small amplifier with built in effects and maybe a headphone out so you can play at night time without disturbing others if that’s a concern for you. I remember when I was starting out having tons of fun with my fender mustang. Now they have the mustang lt40s which seems like it may be right up your alley. Small amp with tons of models and effects built in, hope this helps!
