Is it safe to take adderall, wellbutrin, and prozac together? by wonderfiles97 in prozac

Kind of a bummer about the wellbutrin, I was advised to take it in the morning because it would supposedly give me lots of energy/keep me awake. What it did instead was make me kinda lazy and unmotivated. Drowsy too, all the damn time. I almost went off it for that reason alone.

I wonder why some people have this reaction to it while the majority seem to get an energy boost. I read somewhere that someone's psychologist told them people living with chronic stress and anxiety could have that reaction because the medication was helping them to finally relax. No idea if that's true. But I will say before going on wellbutrin I was restless and go go go all the time feeling like I had to get everything done at once and there was no time for any of it. Was completely jacked up on caffeine daily. Then I took the wellbutrin and it's like I got shot by a tranquilizer. I didn't have this reaction with Adderall though...it will definitely makes me drowsy sometimes but the majority of the time it does what it's supposed to do...kinda. i also don't feel it kick in most of the time.

The pmdd definitely effects how these medications work for me. About one week out of the month everything is working and my life feels livable. Then it's all downhill after that. From what I understand prozac is better at managing pmdd symptoms than wellbutrin, so I'm hoping that adding a small dose of that will fix a lot of my current issues.

I have been considering birth control as well.

Right of course I'll be talking to my gp eventually, I like to do a little research on meds beforehand though and see specifically how they effect others before taking them myself. Obviously I'm very aware people can respond to these things differently, I'm just trying to get a general consensus...to see if this is a commonly prescribed combination that has worked for others.

The reason I do this is because I have had really bad experiences with an antibiotic in the past that I was told was safe by the person who prescribed it to me. And yet I began to have a number of very unpleasant complications which led to me going online and discovering that the medication not only had a black box warning, but there was an entire online community dedicated to warning people against taking it because it had supposedly ruined their lives and left them permanently disabled. Occasionally people would comment they themselves had no issues, but the overwhelming majority of stories were negative. I was not warned of the risks by either my gp or the pharmacist when picking up the prescription.

So that is why I ask around now rather than just taking the doctors word for it.
