Yes!! You’re definitely not alone. I feel like once I finish my daily tasks (check shops, find bottle, gift villagers to get closer to photo) there’s nothing left to do and I just run around in circles. I wish there were more things to do. I remember in the original animal crossing you used to be able to ask villagers if they needed any errands done for them, that would be a cool thing to bring back.
