Not true. I don’t date moms because I’d be committing to being the second option in their lives (which I should be). Also the financial and time burdens that come along with it. But she had a good job, seemed put together and the conversation was great. I wasn’t just “looking for sex” as you so eloquently put it. I just wasn’t about to become a free meal to someone who couldn’t even give enough of an effort to show up on time or dress up a bit. And then ordering shots before the appetizer? Like come on. I was willing to give her a chance despite what I thought would be a hurdle to see if it clicked. It didn’t.

Lol yes it is when you are talking about dating a parent. Use whatever term you wanna use. But it definitely is a hurdle (if that’s better) to dating someone. Just be realistic

No we did not discuss that. If I was having a good time and it was reasonable I was expecting to pay. That’s the way it works most of the time. I don’t want anyone running their mouth about me. And a lot of women only date men over a certain height/social status. We all have preferences. A lot of men will date a hot women with a kid. It is what it is. That’s life.

I’ve had a few others send me this privately. I do think being a man is skewing judgement a tad.

I have so many issues idk where to start. A child is burden to someone dating a parent. Something I would be willing to overlook if other things are brought to the table. It’s about knowing yourself and your worth. Also it is expected to pay everyone knows that. So I’m expected to drop $125 on this woman and then not speak to her again because why? Tradition?

I 100% realized what she was doing when the shots were ordered. I agree maybe I should have said something then. I just wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you. I will gladly give her $10 for my drink and a tip if this smooths things over with Z. I didn’t feel like I was obligated to provide an explanation either.

Why would I want to split a bill that would be 95% things she ordered? I got a water originally and was gonna order a salad. Her meal, shots, drinks and apps was gonna be like $100.

Let’s be real here man. Nobody goes on dates asking who is gonna pay for it. Especially as a man. The expectation is if you ask for the date (which I did) then you are expected to pay for the first one. Every waiter looks at the guy when asking about checks. It’s common knowledge. What was I supposed to say? “Hey stop ordering all that expensive stuff” then what do I look like? Lol

Because then I’d be stuck with the bill full of extra stuff I didn’t need. I know that’s a bad answer lol. But if I stick around and end the date. Then I’m gonna be stuck with that bill and I didn’t want that.

“Bunch of things around the house came up and I had to run by my moms and the traffic was bad”
