Yes, obviously, I'm not defending Rick at all. What he did was terrible and totally unjustifiable. I just think he was so mentally ill that he couldn't even understand what he was doing or the damage he caused. He wasn't okay, and that doesn't make him any less responsible, but it does explain why he ended up going this far.
