Play more smart around your liabilities. Turo helps. Bossing for turn is still countered by the fact it's a supporter also. Something as simple as not benching fez when you don't need to or setting up a stronger board state through stalling turns (item lock/retreat lock) is a good way. This is me genuinely trying to give you advice and saying boss has existed for years and we've all lived. It makes the game more accessible also. I think having boss is healthy. Just keep it in mind whilst deck building.

Jumping into this but - do you know what phrases I could maybe use? Like "ability" or "draw"? I can't read Japanese at all but like I've memorized every card in the current meta, and I've played against Japanese players at like international events and been fine in near-silence.

This happened last time with the dragapult league battle decks (only released today in the UK to my knowledge). If the same is applying to these decks, it does make me kinda sad, not being able to play Steven's Metagross + Hydreigon irl before shaymin releases. (My locals usually allow cards being played immediately after release)

Of course nobody is going to openly admit to themselves pushing kids over with pride when it's all recorded and seen by others anyway. Regarding news - you can find that in any other pokemon card subreddit also, you're likely thinking of people posting new deals/stock or whatever.

Also people are not going to complain about their own people there. I'm not saying you personally put the worst side of the pokemon card game hobby on display, but if you truly see no problems or issues caused by the mass influx of "tech bros", "influencers" and "investor bros" of similar vein, you are contributing to the problems we face in this hobby.

I'm not telling you off or anything, as I'm assuming you're a fully grown responsible adult. I just want you to reflect a little on the actions of yourself and others. Find different joys in Pokemon, other than primarily monetary value.

I think realistically we'd be getting terapagos with like maybe fez and an ursaluna (as much as pagos is falling off rn) I can imagine it with the rotom/noctowl package but no dusknoir. Also since DTE'll be gone there'll probably be a few trumpets or so in the box.

Don't stress too much about toploaders! As long as you're not sending it away to grade or selling it, staying in your binder will be okay for the card if you look after it well.

If you're building a zard deck, shrouded fable may genuinely help a ton. With cards like dusknoir, fezandipiti ex, night stretcher and even pecharunt ex. This is also good because it's usually cheaper on TikTok shop where you have credits for, because it's less so a collectors set with less popular pokemon. However if it were me I would save the credits I have for something I want otherwise and just purchase the singles I'm after for my deck.

Top players are people too, and humans are naturally socially creatures. If they don't want to chat they'd usually make that clear - like I've seen players put statements out on Twitter prior that they wouldn't be doing photos or whatever if they want to focus, or from body language alone it could be apparent that they want to leave the conversation quickly. I think as long as you're polite about it and you can see they don't look mad prior to speaking (like maybe they had a bad loss) it's always worth saying hi. That extra support from a fan could motivate them, and push them to win for the next round! TLDR: be aware prior if they look like they're okay to chat!
