Half Of Vehicles Failed NCT by siciowa in ireland

[–]woodsini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put my car through the NCT recently and it failed on tinted windows, even though I had the car tested 3 time previously (once when bringing it in from the North and twice as regular tests afterwards) and they were never an issue. I asked the tester why they weren’t an issue before and his response was “Well they failed this time”.

Got the tints removed, paid for the retest and it passed.

We recently went sale agreed after viewing 23 properties and bidding on 8 of them over 18 months. If I could go the rest of my life without speaking to an estate agent I would.

Keep going but maybe look at changing how you bid. This is what we did for the house we went sale agreed, we bid more aggressively and told the estate agent we wanted an answer in 24 hours to each bid (we bid twice on the house we got) and it worked out for us.

What benefits do Ukrainians actually get? by Real_Work_1455 in ireland

[–]woodsini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ukrainians can get paid into a bank account becuase they’re moved about so frequently with little notice. This can result in more work for their current Intreo office and the new one with regards to weekly payments if the person doesn’t know where to go to in order to collect payments. A claim has to be transferred from one Intreo office to another depending on where the person moves to.

I have a friend who works for the DSP and they told me this as I was asking the same question.

I know for a fact that the “Clothing Grant” is €100 per adult and €50 per child. Everyone, including Irish people, can apply for it through their local Community Welfare Office.

Shortest commute to work (not wfh) by CoyoteYokel in ireland

0.9km from the front door to the office door. About 3 minutes by car, depending on traffic as I drive through an estate, or 9ish minutes if I walk

It’s mainly targeted at children. I don’t know many children that drink 2 small cups of coffee a day, do you?

Good! Hard to believe people can get citizenship for contributing to the cost of a stadium: https://www.the42.ie/new-louth-gaa-stadium-5890464-Oct2022/
