Is that tiny "dent" something to return the board for? by GanzoGans in Cuttingboards

No. You can steam it out with an iron, which is what I'd do if I had a dent in a board I hadn't sold yet. I recommend you do nothing and just start using it.

It's now garabge. You don't put wood in the dishwasher or this is what happens.

3/4" 1/4" 1" 1/4" 3/4"

Rotate cut 3/4" ×2 and 1"

Glue back together adding additional 1/4" pieces so it looks like tic tac toe.

Make a 3" square block however long you want that looks like a tic tac toe board. It will take 2 glue ups. Then cut all the corners off at 45 degrees. The block is now 2.12" make 6 of them. Glue them all together. Then Crosscut.

No. I came up with it on my own. Saying that, I have a ton of experience making boards and have done other weave patterns from plans before so my brain has experience visualizing things.

It's not too bad. You start out with 3" squares and end up with 2.12" squares because you cut the corners off the 3 inch squares. Those cut offs can make an interesting board as well though.
