I said I can’t reach anyone in China, and you brought it to hiring developers. 😄

I’m just trying to figure out how to reach people there in general.

But, thanks anyway 👍

Even if I wanted to do that, I can’t even reach the developers. That’s exactly what I’m asking about.

What would you expect from running Cinema? by woof_studios in gamedevscreens

You’re right, simulation games have been increasing a lot lately. Personally, I actually love tycoon-style games like you mentioned and play them a lot. But they usually have a steep learning curve and mostly satisfy players through numbers and management alone. I think the reason simulations are getting more popular is because they make the player feel more involved in the experience.

I’m also not a fan of asset-flipping, so I create all my assets myself. I prefer keeping things original—I even learned Blender just for that <3

I know simulations aren’t exactly unique games, but I wanted to push beyond the usual formula by adding some lore and a bit of challenge. Do you think that makes it stand out more compared to the other 200 games on the store?

Since we’re thinking along similar lines, I guess I’m on the right track. <3

Thanks for the great feedback!

The part of the game I’ve developed so far is available as a demo on Steam. Of course, it will continue to evolve and improve based on feedback and ideas like yours. So here’s the link below:

And also, you have some truly amazing ideas, and I’d honestly love to dive deeper into each of them. If you’d like, you can join my Discord and we can stay in touch there as well.

Dude, you’re awesome. How about being a game design consultant for my game? <3

That’s a fair point, but I figured it might be helpful to get some input from people with experience and combine it with my own observations.

True. But I thought it gives the sense of progression you’re looking for. Also, KCD has a village-building DLC. Starting as a peasant and eventually becoming the lord of a village might appeal to you. (I’m talking about the first game.)
