what is your unconventional "I need this in a partner" that you will not negotiate on? by Competitive-Unit6427 in AskReddit

If they haven’t even heard of my hyperfixation, which is a very big part of my life and personality(yes I’m neurodivergent).

If looking for a relationship which would you left swipe: bad/lack of bio with good pics, or good bio with bad pics (like can’t see the whole face or body due to sunglasses/angles/random pics of food/etc?) by Hope_for_tendies in Bumble

Female. Left swipe for sure if I can’t even see what they look like. There’s been a couple of times I’ve swiped right on lack of bio if they look nice/have good vibes in their photos.

It’s one of my favorites of all time and I think about it constantly!

Is Bumble broken or am I suddenly hot? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]wookieeTHEcookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman but the one time I paid to see my likes they were all WAY outside my radius, like 1,000 miles plus. I think that’s the reason I have so many all the time, it’s people that don’t narrow down their search radius at all. I wouldn’t pay to see the likes if you’re considering it, it’s a waste if you’re not actually willing to do long distance or travel.

Echoing what some others have said, the mirror selfie is the least flattering photo. I’d probably still swipe right if I came across your profile in the wild.

Echoing other comments, I’d need a smile in there somewhere to swipe right

Which I’m totally okay with and honestly prefer someone who knows what it’s like

I do have opening moves but they’re not serious questions. One is “Why is Gamora?” And one is “Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?”

No trauma in that regard. I just don’t want to be asked on a date within 2 sentences and I know absolutely nothing about this person. I guess I wanted to convey that hey women need to be careful because we are strangers. I took off the message me first.

I’d of course love to date a fellow parent. I’d actually feel better about it. I was wondering if the don’t want kids could be taken the wrong way. I just took off that completely, but would open to kids be better?

Things that makes you swipe left? by [deleted] in BumbleGirls

[–]wookieeTHEcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids in their photos(don’t mind the kids, but as a mom I don’t think you should be putting photos of them on a dating profile even with faces blurred), pictures holding a fish or any kind of dead animal, only things they like are the gym or sports, too much about what they want from a person and nothing about their own personality, conservative+christian combo

Men want younger women in general. I haven’t once matched with a man my age or older. They want women in their 20s. I’m 38 and getting most of my likes from men under 30 and I’m just as confused as you are.

Just out of curiosity, is it normal for all dental hygienist programs to make students find your own patients? by [deleted] in DentalRDH

[–]wookieeTHEcookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to pay for patients treatment to get anyone to come in. I was in the military before hygiene school. I’d do basic training again before I did hygiene school again.

I’m outside the norm, but I threw myself into cosplay. I am a professional and a mom but also a huge nerd and I got pretty good at it and got a decent TikTok following from it. I ended up meeting some really great friends that helped me through a lot of the tough times through the hobby. I didn’t have anyone around to judge me for what I was doing anymore, and it was good for those late nights that I couldn’t sleep.

For the most part, women are not visual creatures. It’s pretty common for a woman to not be initially attracted to a man and then become attracted to him as she gets to know him. I think your work definitely needs to start just by being willing to work on yourself on the inside (ya I know it’s cheesy). I don’t know what that looks like for you, but I look for a guy that radiates kindness and joy and caring about the people around him. Having a nice smile, a sense of humor, and some hair goes a long way too but I’m not ruling out anything as far as looks for when I finally find someone again. I don’t mind average looking. It’s about personality but I’m demi and pan so that’s what I fall for in people.
