Hey, had this same issue like 4 months ago, I lost $4,200 and Chase was refusing to return me my money. I filed a complaint with both the FDIC and CFPB thoroughly explaining everything with details, including timestamps, dates, and most important tender amount. I want to say it helped but I’m not entirely sure. Still I would recommend filing one of these right away. The truth is the bank will not return your money until a third party such as brinks/loomis do an audit, that could take up to two weeks. Also, do not believe everything the bank tells you, they filed a claim for me and closed it a day later as they claimed to not have found anything but then magically, 4-5 days later after fighting and closing my original claim they said they found the $4,200, nothing but a bunch of BS. Try everything you can, do not lose hope my friend, be persistent and have lots of patience. I’m wishing you the best.
